Coffee County football coach resigns

Coffee County Central football coach Eddie Nunley resigned this morning.

Eddie is a good guy and got left by the "Legend" with a good bunch of kids that were not blessed with a ton of athleticism.

 

Next coach will have a little more talent and still too many kids walking the hallways that are not playing that should be.

 

Who will apply?

 

And no, Rankin will NOT apply. Next

Rankin only goes where he knows he can win

This is a Diamond in the rough position that I have never figured out. Good school with NO in county compitition for players. The area has players so why has it never translated into wins?

 

Coffee should and could be another Lincoln County power position with the right Coach. Area IS growing with spill over from Rutherford County.

 

While Rankin will not go there because it is another Tn public, he could go there and win. Alot of Rutherford schools would be screaming about the 'R' word, but it could happen.

Tullahoma is in-county competition and had two manchester players starting for them last year, including qb.

Red Raiders could have a solid team in a couple of years. Hope they get a good coach.

Haven't heard much. Britton, i doubt it. It is tough to win over there. However, he could have a decent team in 2 years. Britton would be a better coach 2nd time around.

Who ever the coach is they better be like "the legend" and what he did do for this program..Hopefully this could be the start of good things to come. Coffee Co looks to be good in a couple of years.
