Here are my picks. The big "who knows" is Bubba Clfton's ability to play at full speed. He is the engine that makes Summertown's offense lethal. Assuming he is able to go and no one loses a key player to injury I think it will go as follows:

 

First round

 

Summertown and Perry County by 15 plus. Too much defense for Santa Fe and Cullyoka.

Wayne County by 10 over Columbia Academy. It is close but Wayne makes the free throws at the end to increase the margin of victory.

Mt Pleasant by 3 in a game that could go overtime. Colinwood has given Perry and Wayne all they wanted this year and they are a good team.

 

Second round

 

Summertown by 15 plus over Mount Pleasant. Summertown is on a roll.

Wayne County upsets Perry Co. I hate this prediction. I am a Perry fan and don't like to see the season end like this. I just don't see us beating them 4 times this year.

 

Summertown wins the region by 15 over Wayne County. Summertown is still rolling.

Well let's hear your picks almighty, what happened to your picks tonight? Not even close.

 

You're right, I went 1-3 tonight. Two upsets in 11A AND I refused to change my 12A championship pick, regardless of the B Clifton injury (which was pretty stupid on my part)...

 

Overall my picks for Boys 11A/12A district tournaments: 9/13.

I don't see PC losing to WC in second round again. Yes its hard to beat a team 3 times in one year, but WC isn't playing their best ball right now. They may be lucky to get by CA.

I don't know if WC will make it past CA in Round 1 or not. In the past Wayne County usally gets going in Tournament time but this year they seem to have taken a step backwards. Coach Willard's Summertown teams were always deadly in the tourneys but haven't been too impressed with the lack of improvement of his team this year.

      We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.

      Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.

      I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.

      I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
