Loretto coach fired yesterday?

Not trying to diss anyone but, who would actually offer this guy another job? He's won like 5 games in 5 years.

any ideas why Loretto has not had a good season since the 1990's? dont they have the largest enrollment in thier district and 2A classification? i have never seen them play but on paper it seems that they should at least cycle a dominate team every so often. what is the problem? Talent? Coaching? Administration?

Coach was relieved by principal. Loretto may not be the worst place in the state to coach,but it'll prolly make the top 5.

As bulldog said, he didn't receive tenure. This had more to do on the classroom side than on football side. We probably already have our next head coach. Just have to wait and see.

is it just me or does this whole thing sound "fishy"?

1. Who hears of a coach losing his job over the "teaching" part of it, right before tenure?

2. no newspapers or media reporting it.

3. no posting by the school looking to hire.

4. A coach from richland already hired. (would you not want to better the situation)

all my questions from above about why Loretto no longer wins football games are answered... somewhat.

Not Ricky Taylor. If it was, it would for sure seal our principal's fate at the end of the year.

 

big D, to answer your questions in order:

1. That question goes back to administration. Our principal would rather have someone on staff who is a "full time teacher" instead of a coach.

2. No newspapers or media is reporting this because he won't leave the school until after this year is up and here at Loretto we don't get any media coverage.

3. They aren't officially hiring yet.

4. If we hire Taylor, I and everyone else would die. I really don't think that's going to happen.
