why did you ask me what I said in the first place?

To allow you the chance to come clean. If you know Nick, then call him up and ask him what he heard you say. Bet he heard more than "a piece".

Your an adult on the McCallie bench insulting a Baylor high school wrestler. Calling me crazy or hating on Baylor doesn't change how inappropriate that is.

I appreciate your good-natured heart ynotme. It's very becoming of you. If you read my last two posts though, I admitted that what I said was unnecessary and something I shouldn't have done. Yet you continue to berate me. (Do you need a definition of "berate"). What else would you like me to do? Kiss your feet?

And frankly, whatever Nick heard was incorrect. Were you there ynotme? Do you know the noise level in that place? Easy to misconstrue (I could give you a definition of "misconstrue" as well if you'd like). Why would I lie? I'm not the kind of person to say anything more than "a piece". That's just not me. Pretty pathetic huh!? You'd think my feisty anger could produce something a little more ill-willed! But sorry. Nope. That's all I've got; "a piece".

Come to think of it... I think you're "a piece" too ynotme!

Unless there was a stenographer on site that has this encounter recorded my suggestion is to drop it. It'll never be resolved on a message board and those of us who could care less would rather have our message board devoid of pointless threads that boil down to personal he said/she said battles. I'm inclined to believe 90 is willing to drop it, she obviously regrets her in the moment choice of words, but can ynotme do the same? I hope so cause you're just making yourself look more and more like a troll.

Too be honest, I'm a little confused about this whole situation. I will take you at your word that you only called the Baylor wrestler "a piece". However, you seem quite willing to pull out your Websters dictionary/thesaurus out for every term but the one you used. Maybe you could enlighten us as to what "a piece" really means, and if you would have considered it an insult if another coach yelled it at one of your wrestlers. If an adult is sitting on a bench, I assume that they represent that school. I wonder if the coaching staff approved of any deragatory term being yelled at another wrestler. If you are that hot headed and emotional, maybe you should find another place to sit during matches.

Pointing out for those who are unaware, one who does not use profanities would say something along the lines of "... a piece of work" which is entirely different than "... a piece of (insert what you're thinking)". I've been accused many a times of saying the later when I really said the former.

Piece of work is what came to mind from my perspective & of what mom & dad Connell would expect. Some may say or think different in a heated moment like this. Reminds me of those key match ups ol WV Manley & BUDDY BCB Boone would be surprised about against many from Baylor, McCallie, RB, ND where I actually won, but some of the sweetest were those losses too that ended with no bonus points and had a Kent, Morphis, St. Charles or a Nelson etc. using some strong language. Crazy grudge matches continue to this day but coacht wasn't around to trumpet it back in the day! Just Ward Gossett's opinions and banners!

Keep fighting for your good ol daddy, girl!!!! World Champ from Brainerd & Hixson!!!!

A couple of thoughts here to wrestle90. You have admitted that you were wrong and that is appreciated. The great rivalry between the blue and the red just pulls out those worst emotions. No problem. you stepped up to it..enough said.

A second thought, as much as you may not like it, the original attack at the top on Tim Manley, who is apparently not "ynotme" and on "ynotme" were also uncalled for as it appears they were raising a legitimate issue (your conduct after the 171 match). Your reaction makes it appear that you were hoping that the subject would not be raised because you were in the wrong, and thus you attacked the messenger.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
