it looked to me like 12 and 22 wouldve been able to hold their own agianst any on the JC team.

Our kids have a little more class than that. The technical should have been a double technical but the ref chose not to see #22 getting it all started. The pushing from #44 would not have happened had #22 not started it. Our #44 is known for not starting anything but isn't going to take it either once someone starts it.

This will be my last post on this thread. Enough already . . . the game is over. FCS won thanks to the refs. It's time to move on. Good luck to any of the 7A teams that face the "School." You're going to need it if you get the same refs we had.

it didnt start getting under their skin until towards the end of the game cause they was saying it the whole game and yalls little school administrator wouldnt go over there and tell them to stop he was to worried about the JC fans saying something else. and if JC had a student section and told FCS student section to shut their mouths how long would it of took before JC's got escorted out?

i have seen other student sections do chants telling the FC student section to shut their mouths or to shut up and the student section just came back with another chant. it wasnt a big deal with the other student section but when the JC parents got really upset then it seemd to fuel the FC student section

I wasnt at the game so I dont about the calls. JC has a passionate fan base and I think that is a good thing. We all have fans that push it a little too far but I dont think hanging signs and so forth is a problem. Parents and mature fans should be able to laugh and not get worked up over the student sections (there just kids) Most places that have issues is the gyms that sit the student sections on the visitors side like Upperman and Cookeville. Congrats to FCS and congrats to JC on a good season! :thumb:

Agreed. The signs shows no disrespect, just support for our boys by the cheerleaders. As I have said from the beginning, the student section wasn't a problem. In fact, they were pretty great. I wish that the other students at JC should be as passionate about their sports as FCS's were. Let's all admit, the mini goal and mini basketballs during warm ups was pretty awesome.

if they can travel to nearby watertown for 2 more games this year then i dont think any other team left in the region will be able to take the kind of things they do. they did a great job supporting their team as they have done all year. good luck to all teams left in the region

FC has made it past "Boles and Co." in the recent weeks. by looking at the scores, they did it well since they won by double digits. they have also made it past Pickett so from looking at the schedules and records and watching the game last night at FCS, if FCS can get past Clarkrange then I see nothing stopping them from the region championship. but good luck to all

Boy, I'd hate to be as dog gone arrogant as you, you sorry little rascal. You sit there and say that Clarkrange is all that is standing in your way. What a poor memory that you have. You brag about making it past Pickett and "Boles and Co.", but you forgot to mention that you guys have lost to both of those teams this year. On top of that, you only beat Pickett by 2 points when you did win. I'm all about supporting my team and having confidence, but act like the good lord gave you the least bit of sense and decency you old scoundrel. I sure do hope that you are a high school student, rather than an adult, making such cocky comments. I'm judging by your name "The Alumnist" that you are at least a high school graduate. What goes around comes around, joker.

If you want to talk about the girls program go to the girls boards, JC boys have never had a player move in that i know of outside of one 10 years ago and that kid moved here with his parents. this was about the refss dycus, maxwell and richardson gutting the kids from JC.

What about the one playing there now?

Maybe so, however Clarkrange and Celina always travel well and bring a lot of fans. The sad part is that it's the parents from those schools talking trash about the young men on the court rather than the kids of the same age. As I said in an earlier post though, let's hope if you play Clay Co. the officials do not let the game get out of hand, because I have seen some of the Celina boys and they will not keep their head like the boys from JC did. Good luck to FCS although I am hoping ol' Clarkrange takes em' down.

I am making this last post and moving on. I would like to address MidTnsportsfan long post on the 10 point possession deal. I went back and looked at the film that we videoed and the so called 10 point possession happened with about 2:30 left in the game. Your memory is vague because we opened up the 4th qtr with a 5 point lead and after scoring the first points of that qtr NEVER trailed by less than 5 the rest of the game so it wasn't a one point game when all that happened. On top of that we were stalling the ball when #22 tried to cut thru 2 of JC players to pass the ball, contact was made but if any foul would have been called there it would have been on either of the 2 JC players because both fouled him. The ball went to #11 who was fouled, while that foul was happening JC#44 pushed FCS#22 from behind not only once but twice and then FCS#22 turned toward him and went and got in his face (which I don't blame him one bit) and then the 3rd shove came from #44 and the T was called. He actually should have been tossed but wasn't. So #11 goes to the line and hits his 2 foul shots from the foul and 1-2 of the tech shots (3 pts)...we take the ball out of bounds and pass it to #12 who was open for a layup and got creamed on a flagrant foul (not a block shot). He hits 2 foul shots giving us 5 pts total from the so called 10 point possession. We take the ball out of bounds again but a walking call was called on #11 on the inbounds pass. So your 10 point possession never happened you never were closer than 5 points in the 4th qtr most of the time it was 7-9.

And as far as fouls go several more fouls could have been called on both teams in the 2nd half. There were 2-3 fouls called on JC that were late whistles and questionable calls in the 4th but there were also 2 no calls on JC crashing the boards on the offensive side that a blind ref could have called.

Like someone stated in a previous post. FCS has several go to players and JC relies on Godwin to carry 90% of the load. He did carry more than his load in this game its just that the other 10% never happened.

    • Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.
    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
