They wont run...but they will be a lot like Greenfield and Bradford...the big girl is not very fast, but she hangs out under the goal and can alter a lot of shots...block a few as well.

What I'm hoping is that if she's not as quick ,may have to foul Carnation under the basket.Once Carnation gets the ball, can spin either way pretty quick and in the motion offense,Carnation will be out front a lot also.Is Glisson their best shooter?Do they look for the 3 point shot ?

choooo, chooooo, I am here. I look for the score tonight to be in the teen's to low 20's. I can see Dresden running some 4 corners and a high flex O. They seem to run a bunch of 4 plyers across the F.T line vs. the press, but who knows. I am soooooo glad there is not a shot clock. I see where that jacket fan is rooting for Lake co. figures he wouldn't root for his own county team, especially since we beat them. Come on jacket man, give some love out. The big girl for Dresden is a 3 pt. specialist, leave her open and book it. She has a big wing span and covers some ground. She probably blocks about 4 shots a game, guessing. 11 hours till tip off. :popcorneater:

I figured Dresden would play stall ball. It saddens me when teams hold the ball in an attempt to keep the game close. In my opinion, the coach is telling his/her team that there not capable of competeing. Your comment shows exactly why there is a desperate need for a shot clock in highschool basketball.

KEEPING LAKE CO. IN THE TEENS OR LOW 20'S IS A HARD TASK. I AM NOT SAYING YOU CAN'T DO IT, BUT I WOULD BE HOPING MORE FOR 30'S TO LOW 40'S. THEY WILL GET A 10 TO 20 POINT RUN SOME TIME DURING THE GAME. THE RUN WILL START FROM TURN OVERS OFF THE PRESS. IF YOU CAN PROTECT THE BALL (KEEP THE TURN OVERS DOWN) YOU HAVE A CHANCE. LAKE CO IS VERY FAST, THEY HAVE A GOOD PRESS. THEY HAVE THREE GIRLS THAT I KNOW OF THAT WILL HIT THE THREE BALL. SO STAY IN THEIR FACE. BUT THAT WILL OPEN THE MIDDLE FOR TT TO DRIVE, AND GIVE HART ROOM TO GO TO WORK. GOOD LUCK.

I agree, coaches that try and give their team the best chance to win are stupid. They should just play to the other teams strengths and see what happens.

I did not mean playing stall ball wasn't effective because everyone knows it is. It is a great strategy against Lake County to have a chance at the end. In my opinion, the TSSAA needs to implement a shot clock. Teams should not be able to hold the 3 or 4 minutes. It takes away from the game. So,are your saying that if Dresden does not hold the ball for long periods of time they cannot win? Come on and have some confidence.

The more possessions in the game = the favored team is even more favored...

The less possessions in the game = the underdog has a chance to win...

How hard is that to understand? Good luck to Dresden tonite...

I agree with daroundball if Dresden stalls that is fine but they better be ready to score some points. If Dresden doesn't reach the 30 point mark they will not win. I have felt good all year when we have held opponents between 25-35 points because I believe we are going to get 40 on a bad night. So let's go Lady Falcons and keep the dream alive

Therefore, TSSAA please put a shot clock in so the "underdog" will actually be forced to play instead of sitting at the top of the key and passing the ball for 2 minutes every possession.

It does appear that in the future there may be a shot clock introduced. But until then, the best teams will not complain about it...they will find a way to stop it. Defense wins championships. Just my two cents.

Good luck to LC and Dresden!

Good post, I completely agree and I am not complaining about teams holding the basketball because I think it might help them win. I am complaining about it because as a fan it is just plain boring to watch.

Glad you came on train.Hate to see this type of game. That's why it could be very important for Lake Co to come out early and get the lead.If not.Could be a long night.I guess I could get my rocking chair out and get ready for a boring game.
