PHargis
This post is to commend Memphis Central for their play tonite and to be crowned this years State Champion in AAA Womens Basketball. To Coach Bray, the players, the Administration, the supporters, fans, and parents, it was a good job. You won it fair and square. To Riverdale, you played hard and played good enough to win but you matched up with a schoool tonight that was better and there will be other years. This was one of the best State championship years of all time. The play was exceptional and the organization was terrific. Fans supported the event like they have never done before. The product exhibited by the schools was second to none. This was the Championship for the whole State and it appears that Womens Basketball and Womens Coaches have the game in very good condition and we only have to await another year to start over again and we look forward to that time. Yes everything was not perfect, it never is with partison fans but if we take a deep breath and understand what is being said and posted, if we take some truth whatever size in what is said, reasonable fans will consider it and next year can be the best year ever.It has been a great year and now is the time for the pundits to analyze. DHSFB64
Congrats Memphis Central on winning yout Gold ball !! R'dale basically had no amswers for your quickness , after Petty went down with eye injury it was as Don Meredith use to say " tun out the lights the party's over" . Hopefully Petty has a full recovery , IMO she along with Middleton were R'Dale's best PLAYERS.
PHargis
I missed 2nd half. What happened to Riverdale? More specifically...what happened to the Petty girl? A horific mid court collision between Petty and, I believe Davis of Central, took out \Petty with an eye injury and likely a concussion and a hand and arm injury to Davis that took her out also. Very sad and concerning about both players just to watch what happened. Hope we hear on here how they are doing. This was a full speed collision. truthandjustice
Congrats to Memphis Central on winning the State Title! Congrats to the Lady Warriors on another great year! GO WARRIORS! Congrats to Memphis Central for winning the gold ball. Riverdale, you had more talent than last year, yet you did not have the work ethic and discipline. State Championship are not given they are earned. To Much which is given, much is expected. I am not sure that many of the players on this team could have played for Micheal Burt, but those who did would have been more disciplined. PHargis
Not to be negative in any way, you are right MB couldn't have coached this team. It could not have been his game plan. it is possible that they peaked a little early though. This was a great team for sure. Blackman wound up great also.
