Congrats to Lake County. It stinks that the best game and probably the real championship game had to be played in the first round, but that is the way it goes sometimes.

This was good for Lake County. They have some really good teams in the past but couldn't get over the hump. I feel good for Lake County. I liked both teams but it was good to see Lake County take home the gold.

Yankee I don't get to watch single A a lot but LC has really nice ball players. I was impressed with Tyler and the other two athletic kids. I don't think I've ever seen a team win the state shooting all lay ups...

Don't know who the other two athletic players are you are talking about.Could be Ricky Boyd and Devon Jones that made the all tournament team.But the little freshman guard ,Zay Coleman is as quick and athletic as any Lake Co player and Derek Swift,that came off the bench and 13 points and the slam could be the best overall athlete.But had you seen the first game,Rafhael lit it up from outside against CSAS with 27 points.I think he had a couple big 3's against Middleton yesterday.But still,with the speed of the Lake Co players,hard to keep them from penetrating.Tyler proved he is one of the best in the State in Single A with his ball handling,passing and all around play.

Heard the Falcon boys came home to a great welcome.Heard people were lined up all along side of the road and were met at the county line by sheriff patrol cars,fire trucks and vehicles for a long stretch.Not sure if they were met at the Dyer Co line by Dyer Co officers or not.I belive when the football team won in the 80's ,Dyer Co met them coming into the Dyer Co line and escorted them to Lake co and being a friendly neighbor.Still,heard it was a great scene coming into Lake Co.Congrats again Falcon players and coaches.That's what is great about small towns like Gleason,Bradford,Greenfield etc.All of the community are behind their local schools and sports programs,especially football and basketball in most communities.

Congratulation to Lake Co. on the championship from Perry Co. Who would have thought in the football playoffs that we would both be there in Basketball too. Yall should be the favorites next year.

Thanks Swoosh but I know Perry Co has a lot coming back,Humboldt has 4 starters back i believe,plus as we both know,yall beat Clarksville Ac. that everyone had winning..then Lake Co beat Westwood,with just about all their starters returning from a State tournament team and also CSAS,who had most back from a State runnerup team.So ,just never know on a particular night ,especially against teams in the region finals ,sub-state.Just getting there is hard.Plus ,word is BTW is dropping down from AA.But even if they do.Lake Co has proven that they can play against top calibre teams with yall beating Clarksville Ac and Lake Co winning against the teams they beat.And some of those teams we beat had beaten some of the AA State tournament teams.Plus we'll both be a year older and stronger and hopefully a little faster.But still..it's started to be a little fun between Perry Co and Lake Co in football and basketball.Hopefully it'll continue.

Can't believe some of those teams are moving down to class A. Just don't seem right, but we'll take them on too. What a great year being able to watch these guys compete in both football and basketball. At one point, I couldnt tell where football left off and basketball started.

Just think when we all started talking smack in FB, we didnt realize that it would carry over to BB

A great entire sports year for both teams. Hope we can repeat next year. Enjoy the Championship, I know it means a great deal to the community.

Tafael Tyler was the all state receiver last year.Ricky Boyd and Devon Jones were the two tailbacks..The little point guard ,Zay Coleman was quarterback i think at one time and switched to running back.Swift just moved back.He saw slated to start at receiver last year I believe but quit ..Word is that coleman is going to play this year .If he does,he could play a receiver or maybe even running back being so small and hard to even find.Rafael Tyler could move to quarterback.Don't know how things will shape up .Lake Co will be loaded at the skill positions.Coach Barger ,the football coach is behind the 8 ball with his wife winning the State in basketball
