Fagan pitched 4 innings gave up one unearned run. 1 hit - 2BB - 11K's. Fagan aggravated a mild back strain and was pulled after the fourth. Taylor Wolaver Fr. Threw well three innings & got the loss. Not worried about Cornersville. Fagan, Hopkins, Crowell, and Johnson are all hurt but should be back to 100% by April. Fagan hit a monster HR in the 7th. Many girls playing out of position due to injuries. It's still early. Just their first regular season game.

I would think Cornersville is rebuilding after loosing 5 seniors from last year. Any thoughts?

Don't matter. Ain't a district game.

Sounds like that 'mild back strain' got better...and with a quickness! :thumb:

Cornersville does have players hurt. I know Hopkins broke a wrist. She is a standout that they are missing. If I do my math correctly she will be back soon. Could Cornersville be playing a cat and mouse game with everyone. They pitched there freshman tonight in a district game. Huh! They pull there senior after 3 innings at Friendship and she hits a homerun in the seventh. Huh! I guess we will find out when it counts.:shock:

This story sounds all too familiar... to last year...."EVERYONE that makes us good is hurt right now...early in the season"... "BUT when it matters we will be 100%" :popcorneater:

Does it seem like the same result is on the way?? :thumb:

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
