Any one know why Lewis County is not on the schedule and Cheatham Co. is???

Cheatham County is in Ashland City. The Cubs have added Fairview, Mt. Pleasant, and Jo Byrns (and retained Sycamore) to their non-district schedule for the upcoming 2 years.

I wish I had some knowledge about Mt. Pleasant but unfortunately I do not know a thing about them other than the fact that they had a "do-it-all superstar" named Marco Dailey who was virtually unstoppable a few years ago.

How does this year's MP team look?

Marco was a great one......

mTp has jr qb that is very talented, he started the last part of his freshman year and all of last season. He passsed for over a 1000 yds and was very close to rushing for another 1000. mTp lost 4 of its 5 starting ol and will have to replace them. They have a another talented kid (#19) that is a senior and will play on both sides of the ball and you will know that he is around. Young rb that is the brother to a past qb that played at mTp that gave teams a fit in the 90's. Lb should be good with the most of them returning. Again they lost all the dl and the younger kids will have to step up to fill in.

Overall I think they will either surprise a few teams or they will be the disappointment that everyone here will be talking about.

They gave McKenzie all that wanted in the second round of the playoffs last season. Lets hope they build from.

wholder i really liked yalls qb last year... he looked like he has a shot this year for a breakout year. he looked just a bit confused when we played.. but it is probably due to his age if he wanted to throw or run it he is a great ath.

I agree, lot of pressure on a sophomore to be the starting qb and any level. He is one heck of a basketball player too.

    • Yes region 1 is extremely weak but a # 5 seed out of region 2 has no business in the playoffs either.
    • They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.
    • Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)
    • If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.
    • And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
