A 7-3 season would definitely be great. Its really hard to tell this early. Last year we pounded Unaka's guts out and beat Johnson Co who played Hampton really tough. Then Hampton mercy rules the Landers. I'm still tryin' to figure out what happened in that one, lol.

Cloudland could go anywhere from 8 and 2 to 4 and 6,it just really depends on how healthy they can stay.A few key injuries could pretty much destroy the whole season.

Last year Unaka fumbled inside the five in the last few minutes. They lost 16-22 if I remember correctly. Not quite a pounding, but a loss none the less.

The score wasn't indicative of the beating. After Unaka fumbled, Cloudland drove the ball down their throat and they couldn't get the ball back. It was 22-12. Cloudland had like 350 yards on the ground.

I might be wrong, but im pretty sure we had 380 something. We also played the 2nd half without one of our best lineman. "porkchop" he hurt his knee right before halftime.

Thats a good point. Cloudland would rather lose to Ng than Unaka. I promise that Unaka beating Cloudland in football is not gonna happen very much in this life time.

Pujo, Bluengold, KING, my fellow DOG fans and 'Lander supporters...I have retuned! I have been consumed by a cloud of depression ever since I realized I would not having one of my own trading paint in high school ball this year

BUT, my 8th grader's Elem varsity team has cheered me right up! I can see that this class and Cloudland's Elem varisty should bring years of fun times and much smack talk :thumb: With the continuing coming of names such as Benfield, Lunsford, Jones, Chambers, Lyons, McClain, Birchfield, etc, etc, how could the next decade not be a blast between these two schools???!!!

As for the 2011/2012 DOGS, I really believe they have the tools...but we'll have to wait and see if they possess heart...TEAM heart!

ps. Pujo, LOVE THE HAIRCUT!!!! :D

Hampton Jr High looked good (took care of C-D) and can be a very good unit. They have all the ingredients....of crse we all know it really doesnt matter till High School! Cloudland Jr High has beasts and should be hard to handle...I cant wait for

the 2013-2016 football and basketball seasons (if the Lord permits) :thumb:

Time has proven that the success or lack of success at the Jr High level can be very deceiving. As far back as I can remember, Hampton has only had one good Jr High team, but the same kids at the Highschool level has been very successful. Cloudland on the other hand has been just the oppisite. You just can't never tell.

Hamptons jr. high has had very few winning seasons but have came together and seen vast improvements in high school years. My 8th grade we won the first little watagua championship for the DAWGS!!!! I think a couple years afterwards they went undefeated and won the championship also but they had more success come high school than my team did....its just a hit and miss in jr high because the kids mature mature so much more when they get a little older.. I think the DAWGS have got plenty of good ones comin over the next several yrs. The DAWGS already have a good freshman back in the makin with FORD, he was good in jr high last year.....

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?

Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
