Purple & Gold Standard
I think the Jackson Sun had Titanic over the Iceberg by 2 touhdowns. You can rest assure that the Sun reporers have seen neither team and cannot name a starter for either team. This is a good one...
Reelfoot72
Hey, I like the Jackson Sun. Their sports staff seems very knowledgeable and they cover teams who most people follow. IM(humble)O!!! The Bulldogs have another cup cake coming to Johnnie Hale so I'll be at the Westview/OC game, and I should be easy to spot.....big Milan hat and a shirt that says, "hey Onion Central, I didn't know you gals played football." Save me a seat Dont worry someone will sell you a real shirt an hat so you wont have to wear that Myland stuff all night. Real men never wear purple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reelfoot72
No doubt this will be Obion's first test. If Westviews secondary is any good...it just takes one interception and the Rebels confidence may drop. Things are going very well for the rebels right now and hope they continue but really, who have they played other than two teams that are both very very young with no experience. I give the edge to Westview simply because they have been in games like this before and this is unchartered waters for the Rebels. We shall see how coach Jackson gets his team ready for the big games this year. Last year proved he still has work to do on his end with that getting beat by Ripley one week after manhandling them. Good luck rebels. Wish i could be there but will be in Halls for this one. Hey man, if you think one turnover will bring those young men down then you dont know alot about the coaching staff an our players. For 2 weeks now you have been hoping we would slip up but it hadnt happened yet,an i dont see if happening this week so please keep betting against us we love it. KEEP ON ROLLING REBS!!!!!!!

Go back and look @ all the scores of their games fom last year. They have a ton of experience in close game situations. What remains to be seen is whether or not they have learned to come out on the right end of those close games.
bricklayer1
Ripley's defense is twice as fast as Westview's. Oh. I didnt realize that you had the 40 times for both Westview and Ripley. I'd like to see the times if you could come up with them
Tornadopride
In less than 24 hours, we will know who won this game, the somewhat first test the Rebels may have. It will come down to 2 things. How strong is Westviews defense and is it good enough to stop the Rebels offense or slow it down. Second, can the Rebels play mistake free offense with no turnovers. I am willing to say the Rebels offense may be stronger. On the other hand, if this game comes down to coaching, Cody should have the upper hand but Jackson plays his cards pretty well also and is gaining experience. For some reason if this game was to come down to a fieldgoal ( and I don't think it will ) Westview will have a huge advantage because these are college goals and they practice with them. For the Rebels having a maybe "par" field goal kicker in McGrew, this might affect him with the smaller goals. Should be fun and I will have my radio tuned in to the game.
