I was surprised to hear this score for two reasons:

1. Couldn't believe Macon only got in the endzone twice.

2. Couldn't believe Macon's D only gave up two td's.

Sounds like an improvement on D but what happened to the offense? Was Sycamore's D that good? <_<

The Sycamore D played very quick and smart, we would break what looked like a big play and they would stay at home and make the play.

Very boring and sloppy game besides the last quarter... Macon played so conservative that they almost lost the game. Grace made very bad throws at times but redeemed himself late. They won and thats all that matters. Tigers better step it up or the Owls will make you suffer next week. Go Blue :flower:

Take it your no Grace fan.TC off this week,I came to watch him,13 of 22 4 incomplete passes was spikes to stop clock, 170 yards 2 tds 1 int.Macon was beat in the trenches and could not run the ball.I am pretty sure 22 done his job great win macon, good luck next week.TC1

No I was just saying he wasnt playing up to his potential, and I did say he redeemed himself. I think all the run plays mustve got him outta rhythm??? Anyway lets move on to Smith Co.. 8-)

Macon did not score 3 touchdowns against Sycamore's defense. I wonder where those people are who were saying "you're crazy" when I said this would be the case.

Macon did beat Sycamore so I was absolutely wrong there. Congats to the Tigers on a strong victory.

i will give ya credit you were half right.macon will be soild again next year as long as they can keep pemberton and company.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
