I just finished reading your reply and while I agree with some of it, I do have some issues and/or questions I would ask if it were in my power to do so and get straight answers from those who KNOW why our team does the things they way they do.

1) At the start of the season we come out strong and seem to be in good condition. This comes after spending most of the summer conditioning and lifting weights. As the season goes on you start seeing kids fading and not playing as strong in the second half of games. Why do we not run any sprints and/or do any conditioning during the season? I understand the theory that you only have so much time each week to prepare the kids for their games, but we can't spend 20 minutes at the end of each practice doing some running?

2)How do we expect the kids to be hitting at full speed, using full agression, and full strength to wrap up and make tackles when the HABIT that they have formed in practice is to hit at 3/4 speed, lift and then let go? Thats IF we even allow them to hit? Sure we can always use the reasoning that someone will get hurt, BUT wouldn't we rather they get some practice in how to DEFEND and PROTECT their OWN bodies during the process of either making a tackle or being tackled? If the only time they see full contact is during a game then that doesn't give them enough time to learn how to potect themselves as well.

Don't get me wrong, I support this team and it's coaching staff. I want to see them have success and win games. I believe there are a lot of things they do extremely well. There are just a few areas that I evidently have a much different philosophy than they do. I remember a time when the best 11 kids played on both sides of the ball and on special teams. I remember a time when our defense actually played a large role in whether we won a game or not. The last three years it's been more about outscoring our opponents and I suppose I just miss when that wasn't always the case. Go Mavs, beat the Ridge.

I can see the reasons for concerns about this AC defense. From 07' to 10' the Mavericks just gave up an average of 20 points per game.

In the first 6 games this year, they have given up an average of 38 points per game.

Actually you guys are lucky you are 3-3 giving up those kinda points.

92, were 3-4. Thank god the offence clicks against weaker teams. We cant count on the dfence in the last 3 games, so I hope the offence continues to move the ball vs lesser talented teams.

HOOK EM' HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but I don't see AC beating Karns or HVA, simply because they both have pretty good defenses.

You may be right Osunut2. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Honestly it would'nt surprise me too much. We've got a week off maybe our coaches and players will develop a sence of urgency in these last 3 and try to finish up the regular season on a positive note.

HOOK EM' HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like AC is gonna finish 4-6 and my Dragons 0-10......both have alot to work on to get back where we expect to be!
