1A Playoff Standings

I'm not complaining as much as I'm pointing out the flaws in the current playoff system. Do you think it's logical to group the teams as they are? Does it make sense that a team that is 9-1 and wins their district should be "rewarded" with a 3 seed while a team that is 5-5 and finishes second to last in their district should also be rewarded with a 3 seed?

 

id agree but in some instances I've seen a team go 9-1 with an easy schedule and when playoff time came around,the lesser record won.Several years ago ubder the old system,Milan,Humboldt,Trenton and someone else all won their first round playoff games.Trenton was a number 4 seed and went to Memphis and beat their number 1.Same as maybe yall playing Macon Co,who I believe is a 3 or 4 A school.Yall play those teams and lose but if a Perry Co plays a strictly A schedule,and not saying that's what they did this year,but if yall played several bigger schools and finished 6-4 and PC played WC,who was the only good team on their schedule and lost to them.I'd think yall may be the better team although the record doesnt show it.

Unbelievable... West Carroll is AWFUL and has a 1st round bye... this system is a joke

 

Quad 4 period is a joke!!! Quad 3 has 2 10-0 teams and 2 9-1 teams!!! TSSAA needs new leadership NOW!!!

I agree. A petition from the coaches and principals are in order to remove this incompetence.
