It's Lexington vs Greeneville with some team that's on a hill near Georgia protesting at the concession stand about a player that showed up from another school that didn't do a good job with the ABC's so he wanted a Vandy education so he didn't want to go to OOOOtalWaaa because their football team was not as good as the Georgia team so the poor people on that hill took him in but he really didn't move so that Childress man had phone calls from Lou at Notre Dame or some other school that didn't like the school on the hill or it may have been the parent of little Johnny that was sitting the bench because the Chattanooga does not know where its students are and the people that work at the school on the hill have the best computers money can buy but they don't know how to check a box but the coach may not have wanted the box checked because he was scared of Alcoa and had nightmares about them and wasn't thinking straight so the Childress man vacuumed up the school on the hill near Georgia wins and the people on that hill paid a lot of money and spent a lot of time looking for poor football players to climb up that hill passing 162 other schools to make sure they got the wins so now the players are suffering from the lack of knowledge about how to get players on your team like other schools do that win a lot of games and its not fair because there are BIG houses on that hill so there must be a bunch of people with license to steal aka lawyers that will argue that nobody knew that player was not from on that hill so it must have been a Hanging Chad because everybody knows that the school on the hill would never bend the rules to win at anything so that Childress man is not playing along with the game and this stuff will never end so the school on the hill will not let you get near the concession stand to get your hot chocolate and a hotdog!

If the playoffs started today, here is what the brackets would look like. Still a lot of games left to be played. But it is fun to see each week who each team would be playing.

Quad 1

4 Sullivan East

5 Gibbs

3 Fulton

6 Sequoyah

2 Carter

7 Grainger

8 Macon Co.

4 Marshall Co.

5 Giles Co.

3 Livingston Acadmey

6 Notre Dame

2 Dekalb Co.

Quad 3

I'd give two of those "8 seeds" more than a "puncher's chance" in the opening round.

Keep on thinking that one.....if you have to play Lipscomb first round you could possible be one and done :thumb:

I can agree with you on that one. But with Pearl and CPA still on DL's schedule they are going to have to pull a rabbit out of something to stay in the playoff picture. It sure would be weird for them not to make the playoffs

Question: How would a team, Notre Dame, (and I assume the only Notre Dame is from Chattanooga), who has not won a game in their district recieve a playoff bid? Now I know there are wildcards invited, but if the qualifications, at least one of, must be winning 50% of your games, how would they qualify? Would not Signal Mountain qualify, assuming they beat Sequatchie in two weeks, since they would have won out and finished 2-2, 2-0 in district? SM and ND are the only 4A teams in the district. Just throwing this out there and trying to figure it out. Yes I am a Signal Mountain fan, but that has no bearing on this question.

Just looked at ND's record. Is the record concern looking at overall or district?

    • Who’s going to lead the pirates offense this year?
    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
