Westview grinds it out in a small upset. Before the season I would have said Westview would win, after the first 3 weeks I thought SGC would win and now I think Westview pulls it out. JMO

I've seen Westview 2 times this year and they are the Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde of their district. Early, I would have said SGC by 7-- now I'll say WV by 7. Either way, should be a good game. Both teams are well coached by good coaches who require discipline and sportsmanship. Both of these teams will be battling it out over the next several years, but both have appreciation for each other and vice-versa. Good luck to both teams, you are both class acts.

 

Extra: If you are bored, like I will be on a Thursday night. Dresden and Huntingdon will battle it out for their district title in Dresden. I've seen Huntingdon once, I was very impressed at how they've changed in a year. I've also seen Dresden two times this year, nothing impressive. Week 0, Westview gifts them a game and they win it ugly and then they beat up on the real small schools. I thought they would give a younger/inexperienced Mckenzie team a better game---but after getting it handed to them (at the hog pen in Dresden), they refused to shake the hands of the Mckenzie players after the game. That's all you have to know about that program. I'm going to Dresden on Thursday night to watch Huntingdon put a pounding on the mighty lioness'. Now they think they are Milan, Huntingdon, and Mckenzie combined, I hope everyone will come donate some money to their school and see what "paper" champions really look like....rflol I heard they had beaten Henry County in a scrimmage, turns out it was Henry County's (Freshmen) team and they didn't win that one either. Maybe they should have played Paris Inman...

A tale of two seasons in dealing with these two teams. South Gibson has a really good upstart program with this probably being their "full" varsity schedule. I am really impressed with what their team has done this season. I heard there is over 900 students in South Gibson. I didn't know that you guys were that big already. I'm going to take my Chargers (at home) against SGHS by 10 points. Your JV team beat ours and an assistant said you guys have a good program you are building. I've heard Coach Coady on the radio give your school "positive" remarks about how you are building that program. Hoping for a good, injury free game this Friday. Look forward to the upcoming years of good competitive football games between the two towns.

Go Chargers!! Who ever wins this one gets a higher seed. Either way, Milan is still the King until over thrown.

South Gibson should not win this game. They lost to a horrible team in crockett county. First this team lacks physical play. They play defensively emotionless. They do not have a QB, he is an athlete and that is all he will ever be. In order to beat good teams, you have to be able to be balanced and South Gibson is not. If a defense can be physical and read their keys, South Gibson is easy to beat.

 

This team is not well coached. I do not see enough in game coaching being done on the sidelines to warrant right now labeling them as good coaches. The whole team looks like they have never seen a weightroom, just look and play with no physicality. This is a team that will get killed in the playoffs. This should be a W for Westview.

I think we can beat SGCHS, but really - do we measure our (Westview) ability, including passing stats and td's thrown while looking at the last two teams we played? We are not going to brag that in 4 quarters our qb hasnt thrown an interception. Yes - i say 4 quarters because out starters have been on the sidelines by halftime for the last two weeks and the second string has been playing. We expect our qb not to throw interceptions. 4sho, i am all about the win, and i am all about the qb not throwing picks, but listen - you have to earn that respect from fans, and going 4 quarters against two WEAK teams without an interception is nothing much to brag about. It will get better and hopefully next season, we will having passing options in much tougher games - then if we go several games with no picks - then quote some stats and we will all be braggin. Right now - not really there yet. Love my Chargers - 30+ year unshakeable fan, but we have work to do. I will be in the stands yelling for the boys in blue - EVERY boy in blue. Go Chargers!

I wasn't bragging idiot I was posting to hog heaven which stated west view will get beat and has no passing offense. I think last two wins where great and changed uncle mo. After Friday will be 6-4.
