This should be a good matchup. However, I think the Sequatchie will have the overall speed advantage, and has played the tougher schedule. Sequatchie is VERY physical and has great speed at some positions. I think this will be the one of the best if not the best team Harpeth has played all year. Best of luck to both teams. Sequatchie by 2 or 3 tds.

Wow!! You totally missed this one and in fact it was the opposite of what you predicted :roflol: Go Harpeth

I agree, I have watched the Camden and Waverly games and Harpeth does not have as much speed. Also seems to have trouble stopping the run in some spots. I am taking Sequatchie in this battle of the tribes.

Harpeth 14

Sequatchie 35

Harpeth has no speed hmmm Lol we came into their house and spanked them C'MON MAN

Sequatchie played at least 5 teams with more teams speed than Harpeth. Harpeth stayed with their blocks, broke tackles, wrapped up, passed when it was unexpected, made first downs when they had to get them and made stops when they had to get them. It wasn't their athleticism that won it.

That was not a good play by the player mentioned above, he was fortunate not to get a penalty-but the Harpeth player was at fault too for continuing to hold on to his leg for a good five seconds after he was down (tight end making a catch about 8 yards down the field). If a ref had come in quicker and got them both up it wouldn't have happened at all.

The roughing penalty late was not a good play either, quarterback was taking a knee and was shoved down. He could have taken it quicker instead of going backward and I don't think it would have happened but it was still a penalty. It wasn't a big shot but any contact was unnecessary. That player was taken out even though there wasn't much time at all left in the game, and he heard about it on the sideline. Some teams would have left him in, and from the reports I read on here after games Friday, some teams would have encouraged it.

Harpeth played their best game against SC. Athleticism is more than just speed and it played a part in their win. They played smart and didn't give up.

Both of the instances you mentioned were pretty blatant along with a horse collar and a couple of face masks that weren't called and were obvious. I hate bad or sloppy officiating, gets under my skin faster than anything. The last thing I want to see is some kid getting hurt. Regardless of who he plays for. It's irresponsible to let things like that go, because it just escalates every time it's uncalled.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
