lets look pass the 7-4 record and 11-0 record..

i say Alcoa.. they will play hard for this game...,but they will come up short

nxt week when the play CAK...Cak in my eyes will play milan in the state game

Who is 11-0?????? Don't get too far ahead of yourself my friend. Both Alcoa and CAK have tough games to win this Friday night before anyone begins to talk about a

rematch.....

Alcoa has to score 35 in order to mercy rule anyone. They've scored a grand total of 38 in their games with CAK, Austin-East, and Tyner. Those are the three "legit 3A football teams" they've played so far this year.

Can Alcoa put a performance together that makes everyone look at them and say "WHOA!" or will they fall into the category of a team "pretending to be among the favorites" this postseason?

I really wish I knew the answer to your question. Only time will tell........

LEGIT is the key word here. Bledsoe will see how "3A legit" they are come Friday night!

I think its funny how you talk about Bledsoe not being good every week, and then when they prove you wrong several times you still can't shut your mouth...... Why not just give a team credit where credit is due and quit downing them every week.....

There is a big difference in the level of competition during the regular season. 3 or the 4 losses that Alcoa has were to the Number 1 ranked teams in 3A, 4A and 6A. Having seen Bledsoe barely beat a 1-9 McMinn Central team and have to hang on to beat Chattanooga Christian,it is obvious that Bledsoe did not play the same kind of schedule that Alcoa has.

Bledsoe has a huge advantage playing at home. Bledsoe can move the football and with as many formations they use can present some problems for Alcoa. Bledsoe has not seen the over-all team speed (except for Signal) that Alcoa has. Bledsoe plays alot guys both ways. If Alcoa starts pounding the ball at them and is successful, it could be along night for the Warriors.

There is no doubt Bledsoe will have to play a mistake free game and score every time they get the ball and also force a couple of turnovers.....

I can see Bledsoe keeping this alot closer than most people think. They have a under-rated OL and clearly have outstanding skill players. I believe that most are seniors and have player together a number of years. The QB is like a coach on the field and gets the job done and manages the offense as good as any QB I saw this season. If the Warriors can get this game to the 4th QTR, they have a shot.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
