deadaim
Come on man. Even as another MBA guy....how in the world you can post that MBA was the best team is crazy. Give credit where credit is due. Baylor was clearly the best team on the field hands down. We have next season to look forward to....but let's get real man. Baylor was the better team and the defensive half time adjustments sealed the fate of MBA. Both teams dropped touchdown passes and Baylor controlled the game the entire second half despite some turnovers that must be corrected for the team to keep advancing. MBA matches up better with Baylor than the other speed teams in the league and that alone kept the game a little closer but the end was never in doubt. I am hearing you got "religion" before the game and were a "believer"?...If MBA's D had held that last drive of the first half, Uncle MO would have had to be dealt with. ...10 to 7 at half would have been huge. So one Baylor drive makes "the end never in doubt"? Friends can disagree, but I know deep down, you believed MBA could have won. Granted, it's all over, let's move on...what a long strange trip it has been....
SafeT
MBA could have easily won that game. Great effort by both teams. The pipeline at MBA looks really strong, especially that 9th grade group. Good luck Baylor the rest of the way.

Nevertheless, I stayed in the trench with the troops. I should have said that the end was not in doubt until we were taken out of our ball control game in the third quarter and we could not get a yard. MBA has been one dimensional offensively for three years and in the same dimension defensively for many of the games this year. I have watched too many games where every yard was a grind and when MBA has had to go to the air to win, we have not been able to do it. I do not blame anyone for this as it is just a reflection of the kids abilities. We do not have Division 1 players at skill positions. They played tough and never quit. I was quite proud of them and their dedication. Time to move on and we have.
KWoodroof
I've been in the process of moving and didn't get to throw my 2 cents in...I think game was a lot like the MBA-MUS state championship game a couple of years ago. Prior to the game, I felt MBA could win, but would have to play their best game of the season, and get a few breaks. I don't recall any controversial penalties against MBA, and Baylor was awfully generous with the ball. I can't imagine their coaching staff was real pleased. The telling incident of the game was Baylor's drive at the end of the half. Baylor was having an off-night, but that drive showed that they could do enough to win. And while MBA's one dimensional offense worked well enough in the first half, the adjustments Baylor made at halftime were very effective. In short, the better team won. MBA had their chances, and couldn't capitalize. I suspect this is a season most MBA people are glad to have done, given all the turmoil that preceded it. Good luck to Baylor; I've always thought the Chattanooga posters on here were a classy bunch.

Yes, Baylor was very generous with the ball and if it continues it will catch up with the Red Raiders. Just have to protect the ball better. I know it has been a tough year for MBA....by MBA standards. But I have no doubt that they will be back fighting hard next year. I don't expect MBA to be down for long.
