Wow! Almost everybody is picking CBHS over BA? As much as I would like to see this happen, it won't. BA ended in a 3-way TIE for 1st place in the Middle/East IIAA division with a 7-1 record. Their 2 losses are to National #1 Louisville Trinity and to TN #1 Ensworth. For the Bros to beat them would be an upset of major proportions.

Thank you owlbooster you have just made me change my pick as I had reservations about picking the Brothers.

Here go my picks, Stand back it may hurt the Whitehaven has won the state title folks.

ArlingtonBy 11 28-17

Dyer County

Mitchell

BTW

SBEC

USJ

Harding

St Georges

CBHS

There has been ONLY 1 team that has scored over 20 points on Whitehaven ALL SEASON LONG (Ridgeway 27)... You think Coach Saulsberry and D.Coordinator, Coach Harmon are not coming up with a Master Plan to hold the Arlington Offense in Check?!?!?

They might come up with a plan but the players have to be the ones to do it. We are talking about kids.. How did that tough defense let Ridgeway score that many points? Whitehaven will be very surprised with Arlington. If Whitehaven could barrow Roland Genesy then yea I'd give Da Haven the advantage!

Sir, Ridgeway has two of the best playmakers in the state plus solid coaching. Sheldon Dawson and Jaylon Walton are both D1 commits that are beep-beep Road runner fast (Pun intended). On top of that there are a lot of friends between the Whitehaven and Ridgeway players. That played a HUGE factor in that game... However we did score 41 against them so we were str8!

If Roland Genesy were on our team he'd be a heckuva goaline back and OLB.

No disrespect, but for everyone picking against Whitehaven AND Ridgeway at this point in the playoffs must don't understand they BOTH have SENIOR QBs that led their teams deep in the playoffs last season. Senior QBs go a long way as far as getting wins in the Playoffs. T-Money Mitchell will be doin work tonight. :thumb:

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
