OldStoneFort
I thought at least one old dog with a lot of head coaching experience applied but I could be mistaken? Maybe he withdrew his name from consideration??
FootballFan1970
Good luck to this Pitt guy. He will need it. I will say they will go 0-10 again with 2 chances at a win: Bruceton and Halls.
Butchie
Well Maybe A New Era Has Started For Greenfield...I Said It Before..They Needed A New Coach...Not Somebody To Unlock The Locker Room...
bigredatheart
My guess is that they are having a change of the locker room keyring holder instead of a changing of the guard. Looks like home town politics won this battle. Hope not for the kids sake.
jvaughan
Like I said earlier, Don is a good choice. He is going to do the work it takes to try and turn it around. He is not going to be just someone who unlocks the locker room. I think him being a Greenfield graduate was a big factor in him getting the position but not the hometown politics you speak of and more so him having a much more vested interest in the program since it was one he and his family was a part of. Oldstonefort, I believe you are correct in that an experienced name removed themself from consideration.
bigredbird
If you look at the jackets schedule, their isn't a win on the schedule. Halls will be improved and I don't think they will defeat anyone else on the schedule

hogheaven
They need a young kid. This is a three year job just to get them to 5-5. Hopefully he is stubborn enough to keep at it.

If It's Business As Usual In Greenfield....They Might As Well Start Hunting His Replacement! Maybe He Could Subsidize His Income Flippin Burgers At Wimpy's! But I Do Hope Things Turn Around For The Yellowhosers
WESTTNFOOTBALLGURU
This young fellow may be just what the Dr. orderd in Greenfield. Good luck to him!
uctoiletbowls
Not like they can do any worse. Supplement plus assistant coach allowance is dismal. They are lucky they found anyone to do it.
fblover
Don will do a great job, he has a passion for Greenfield & is very knowledgeable, he was an asst at Lambuth under new Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze. He does have his work cut out for him, as would anyone at the 3rd smallest football playing school in the state.
