After Lebanon lost to Gallatin at home, they have played alot better. The tournament will be wide open.

Yeah Lebanon has won 8 of their last 9 games. FR PG Hastings has really picked it up the past few weeks and Oliver has almost willed them to win some nights. They host a hot Beech team Tuesday and last place Portland Friday. A win Tuesday would practically clinch the top seed for district tourney. Edited by firstandgoal

I hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year so far. I haven't posted in this thread since my beginning of the year "prediction".

I have only had the opportunity to watch everyone except for Hendersonville this year and to me this district is very, very weak compared to years past.

MJ and Lebanon look to be the most complete teams in 9-AAA and of course Coach Allen does a tremendous job year in and year out with his teams.

Gallatin has gotten away with good athleticism and the post kid isn't bad. Not sure why coaches haven't tried to go zone against them and force the guards to knock down shots.

SC has likely bottom half coach in the league in my opinion. Even without the Eden kid, SC should be in the top 3 of the district. Not bashing him, just my observation since SC has joined 9-AAA.

Not much to say for Beech as I have only watched them play once this year and got beat pretty good in a Christmas tourney.

WC has over-performed in my opinion with the players/team they have. Players are all very limited and only Johnson would start on a team in the Top half of the district. Coach Carney has done a great job in my opinion.

I haven't seen Hendersonville and Portland is Portland..

What do you guys think?

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
