Wouldn't call it hating on Massey . Those our strong words . I never hate anybody . I am a beech alum. And kind of compare him to joins. They are great coaches for winning the district but their styles will never get them to a state title . . Joins ran one defense yes he was very good at it and got him to state but that's it . A team has a whole week and only has to work against the 1-3-1 since they dont run anything else . Massey on the other hand I feel last year had shooters bigs and athletes to match with the Memphis teams yet he never changed anything to fit his personnel. That team with the best point guard in the state should have been running from the start and blowing people out . instead it's all control and that zone and bearing people by single digits that they should be beating by 30 . Chase needs to be unleashed I have watched him since the 7th grade . He can fly with the ball down the court and changes speed better than anybody I have seen . Even when Massey had Jenkins he couldn't even get them to state . only watched two games that year but it was all about john but their were good enough players that john could have set up and made better players that never happened . Maybe Massey has changed recently cause I saw early again single digit wins but last two have been 25&40 even though it was beech and Portland . To beat Memphis you are going to have to outscore them and get in a track meet so their pressure and bigs don't beat you .
