I'm curious to know who MJ will count on as their go to scorer next year.  Pruitt??? Lockridge???  They have a freshman with decent size but he is raw... Just wondering

Id say they feed Pruitt.

Is the PG a senior? Sanders?

Also, whoever number 20 is that got in vs. Hillsboro and lit it up and sparked the team plays completely different then Coach Allen is use to. Hopefully he can get some playing time and be a legit scorer.

Both guards are sophomores.  As long as Pruitt doesn't stand on the perimeter.  he does that sometimes.  I think 20 is a Junior not completely sure

MJ will be solid. Good young group moving up. Gallatin should be better as no graduating seniors. SC will be very good again the drop after next year.[/quote

SC loses a lot of production in Dodson and Reed. Those are big shoes to fill. I can see Mount Juliet being in the same position as now. Then it's up from grabs.

SC also loses Taylor, Anderson and Baldwin who would get several minutes on most teams. They return Freeman, Eden and Zazzaro with good experience.

Gallatin returns everyone and should compete. Luna will have those kids ready to play.

My thing is guys thrived due to teams focusing their attention on other guys. How will guys perform once they are the focal point of the opposing teams defense

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
