They are probably that good but the game still has to be played.Like I said they are not going to drive 6 hrs just get off the bus and say "wow everybody was right lets go back home."Again like I said we might get blowed out but the last team that anyone didn't think we had a chance with we made a ballgame out of it.So let's play the game and see what happens.

All smack aside, both of these teams are loaded with talent and have superior coaching staffs. I believe Greeneville has the edge in size, speed, depth and experience. I think this one will be won on the line and I do believe Greeneville has the definite advantage on both sides of the ball. This has been the most fun thread of the season...I always enjoy sparring with you kittycats. I can hardly wait for Friday night. I'll bring the turkey sammiches WOMG if you bring the hot chocolate. :flower:

That will work Barb... and if it's Crow that's ok too. Have eaten my fair share from time to time. :hungry:

The Devils have us on the line for sure by the "eye test". The heart measurement will come Friday night. Your assessment of the staffs is spot on. Giles will do what they do. Greeneville will do what they do. Both programs tendencies stay constant from week to week. The biggest thing we have in common is that we fear nobody. Greeneville fears nobody. Giles believes they will win every time they strap-up. The Devils do too. The biggest difference for Greeneville Friday night is this weeks opponent respects you but they don't fear you. Whatever the final score, Giles will hit you with their best shot......

Good post. Your guys have no reason to fear Greeneville. You won the last game against us, so I’m sure your guys will come in here with a ton of confidence. That will make a difference when compared to a lot of teams.

However, Greeneville will be ready. If they aren’t fired up for this game, then they have no business playing sports. A chance at another championship appearance is on the line and it is a rematch from two years ago, where the Greene Devils ended up heartbroken. There should be a lot of emotion from those guys who played two years ago.

So, I think both team will play hard and play well. Is it Friday yet?

How many fans can we expect from you guys? I know it is a long trip.

Good question. Usually Giles has a large 12th man. Considering the distance, Turkey Day, and the economy, I don't know yet. Lots of excitement buzzing around for sure though. I expect a good following even with all these determent's.

Am I the only one on here with an employer that frowns upon internet usage on the job. Go to work on 23 pages come home to 34, most of which is a repeat of the first 23. I will be there Friday, not sure how many rug rats I bring. One will be there for sure. I am bringing a bib for some barbq and something sweet for barb. GO CATS!!

Good thing we have been playing flag football all year, the boys bodies should be well rested. After the BOBCATS beat the devils in 09 the locker room was full of battered bodies and you know what, they all woke up the next day STATE CHAMPS!! I am sure there will be some hitting, thats what you are suppose to do. GO CATS!!!

We just put playoff football over our jobs.....of course it might back fire and we may be moving in with you when we get fired....so don't give away that oldest son's bed when he moves out in the spring...I have first dibs.

Just so you know Gville faithful....if dadx brings his family they will fill half of the visitors side with them alone!

It began with "who"...that is an inquisitive pronoun that indicated you were directing a question to me personally. Your inability to punctuate doesn't make it NOT a question.

Impressive. Barb, now that post has completely changed my visual image of you.

I've gone from the apron on as you cook during tailgating to wearing the Greeneville sweatshirt thing. Now this post...I'm now imagining hair up in a bun, wearing glasses, with a ruler in your hand smacking ole rocky on the wrist.

Rocky....go sit in the corner!!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
