I've been a long time reader of Coach T but haven't posted. My son plays for CPA and we are looking forward to playing at Milan on Friday. You guys have a great tradition and a great program. Good luck to both teams. If they each play their best, it will be a great game.

great post CPA dad...please remember that the majority of Milan fans have class...we respect all of our opponents and this Milan fan wishes a safe trip for CPA fans to beautiful Milan's historic Johnnie Hale stadium (and it's a liile known fact outside Milan that Johnnie Hale was actually a female, legondary teacher at Milan) it should be a great game

Thanks. My wife is from a nearby town. I've experienced a lot of West Tennessee class in my time and expect we will be treated well. Interesting fact about the stadium. Thanks. The word here is that it will be packed out.

Arkel Coleman (#29) is the MVP of this team. Had around 130 tackles or so as a So. last year. I'm sure he has over a 100 this year and is in the neighborhood of 20 TDs. TB is kind of by committee. I think Jr. Kevius Finch (#3) and So. Trey Belew (#22) get most of the carries. Both are extremely quick/fast. I'd put Finch up against any return man in the state. I'd be surprised if CPA kicks to him. Jr. Caleb Powell hasn't had near the year most of us expected him to, but we saw him throw for almost 300 yards and 4 TDs in the semis last year against GP. I would say Milan's LB's are as good as any group in the state at any level. The RB's are up there too. The O-line is mediocre and secondary is the achilles heel. I would also put Milan's special team against anyone in the states. Kicker/punter are both top notch, and I already spoke of Finch's returning capabilities, and Milan does block some kicks/punts.

Players to watch for CPA include #12 Sam Cranford preseason all state WR/safety #8 Hunter Thurley TE/OLB/tackle. Both were invited to play in the East - West All Star game. #10 Winston Williams RB/S, #4 Vic Wharton Ath./return specialist. Defense standouts include # 41 Glen Fleenor LB,#6 Sam Landers LB, #72 James Elliott tackle, #21 Robert Brown OLB, and #22 Chase Smith CB.

I think at this point, whoever you're playing, they are gonna be a pretty good football team.

I would say both CPA and Milan have played some quality teams with maybe

a slight edge to CPA, but the Dogs are playing at home so that may be a wash.

Milan should be at full strength injury wise and I hope CPA is likewise.

Should be a really good game!!!

Johnnie Hale Stadium, for those who don't know, is right in the middle of town.

Here's some info for the CPA fans.....best place to park is at the two banks across HWY 45 from the

stadium...Johnnie Hale, for those who don't know, is right in the middle of town.

Chow Wagon has great food, it's like an old fashion Dairy bar, nothing is cooked ahead of

time, one of the best Rueben's you will ever eat......no matter what your GPS tells you, get off

exit 80B in Jackson, it's the fastest way....if you're staying overnight, stay in Jackson!!!!

DO NOT SPEED when going through Medina!!!!!!!

Actually the best place to park for visiting fans is behind the visitors bleachers. You are less than 100 yards from your seat. Come into Milan, get on 79 east, turn in front of Sonic on to Baird. Go PAST the football field, just behind the 2nd second set of bleachers and there is a gate opening to ample parking. Less than 1/4 mile from Sonic total. Chow Wagon across the street little east of Sonic, Pizza Hut on down from that. Mcdonalds, Wendys, Lees Chcken, Burger King, the little red building just North of walmart has some fine BBQ, smoked turkey grilled chicken , ribs, salads, etc. all on Hwy 45 South end of Milan

If you park back there in the playoffs it will take you forever to get out.
