Oakland is better than people think they are and I wouldn't read too much into a scrimmage, especially the first scrimmage.

oakland isnt in this district. Ravenwood will beat brentwood in the district tournament to take it to sub state. Brentwood has way more talent then franklin but i just see either team doing well this year. Centennial could take home district if they beat ravenwood. But overall the ravenwood bunch is a solid team. Will be a very interesting year and im rooting for all teams! We just need a team come out of our district that can truly compete in the tournament. Whoever that is, is still the question here?

I'm pretty sure Indy eagle is just mad because everyone is finally going to find out how good a coach bill Moore really is.. Anyone can be good with that talent, same as the former Franklin coach who went to all the state tournaments. In my opinion glover hasn't had anything to work with since he's been there, until now. He is returning his top three

Pitchers Robertson, Benorth and I think the other one is Payne from previous post. They are a little weak on hitting but still should be top two in the district it will on depend on the Brentwood Franklin series. I think both teams will make it far but I don't know how far? The rest of the district will be down and be looking to compete to get outside the district tourny.. As for Indy, I saw they lost to Oakland in a scrimmage and from what I've heard this is the worst Oakland team in this decade

What has Glover ever done except rack up losing seasons? Those 3 pitchers you have talked about haven't improved in 3 years under Glover, what makes you think they will step it up this year. Moore is by far the best coach in this district and he will prove it again this season. Keep counting the Eagles out, but don't be surprised if they make it to the region.

Yes I realize that, but I was responding to the post above mine referencing Independence( who is in this district) losing to Oakland in a scrimmage and that poster saying that was a bad loss because Oakland was not supposed to be very good. I was pointing out that Oakland is better than people think, therefore saying that Independence may not be as bad as some people are saying they are based on that loss. So really, when you break it down, my post about Oakland( not in this district) was in fact an indirect post about Independence(in this district). Apology accepted.

Like I said previously this district is down. The so called front runner,Franklin, has not had a winning season since their new coach has been there. If Coach Moore had not had his team gutted from Summit opening they would be the clear favorite again. It is really sad to see this once proud district fall in terms of talent.

In the past I had agreed with many of IndyEagle09's posts but no longer. To seriously think that Indy would be the frontrunner if Summit didn't exist is crazy. They did not lose any juniors or seniors. They will miss DB but to think that a bunch of other Sophomores would lead the team to victory is not right.

Franklin has not had a winning season based on win/loss' under Glover is correct but both seasons have resulted with runner up status in the district tournament, last year advancing on to the next round. I don't think Glover cares about the overall record but how the team performs in district play. In another post IndyEagle09 has stated that the Franklin pitching rotation has not improved in the three years the coach has been at Franklin... this is his third year so it is a little early to make that comment.

The comment about the district falling in terms of talent may be accurate but it may be too early to tell too. There are a lot of quality players out there just not some of the big names.

Looking at the schedules, I would predict that Indy has a good chance at taking a game or two from the Rebels since the season is early and Franklin will not have played or scrimmaged as much as Indy, depending on weather it may be Franklin's first game too.

Look for Centenial to be the dark horse in the district and finish in the top 3. Indy will battle with Ravenwood for the 4th spot.

I dont think anybody truly knows how it will pan out. I suggest that all the teams done by regionals support our team that is left, no matter who it is.

Ravenwood starting off strong. 4-2 so far. Beat good science hill and riverdale teams. Lost to siegel and shelby ville. Going to be a great district and the talent doesnt seem to be as weak as everbody thinks, so far.
