Gville will have a very good team next year. They return just about everybody from this years team. Owls will have to play excellent ball to beat them.

White Co. - away

Gville-Home

Livingston-Home

Warren Co. home

Dekalb-away

Daisy Duke (Macon)- away

Upperman-Home

OPEN

Cannon-Away

White House- away

York - Home

I still think Upperman will be a surprise next year to a lot of team. Toughest games will be weeks 2, 3 and 9 for SC...

The U will be no better than 4th in the district. I expect YAI to be much better. They were decimated by injury last year.

I'm not picking them to win the district, but I think they'll much improved and not the pushover team they have been.

Did Dekalb's QB graduate last year, or is he coming back? If he did graduate did he go somewhere to play?

The QB will be a Jr. next year. He hurt us last year getting outside our containment and still looking for receivers down field and finding them. He is a good player. His favorite receiver is short in height but can catch the ball. I think his number is "5". They like to put him in the slot and let him work for the open area. They will be a good team and nobody had better not overlook them.

i agree with that statement they better not be over looked the district champ will be La sc or dc its in the air it might turn out like it was in 2008 when a couple teams were good in district and it came down to the york upperman game which sc won district cause of york getting beat so its in the air district better than usual

Livingston had quite a bit returning, or so I was told, if so I think I would give them the edge in the region, but reguardless it's going to be a close and competitive region with DC, LA, and SC.

I would think LA would be the choice of the coaches to win the region. They have the QB back, a very good running back and a ton of good linemen back. One tackle is a very good player. SC possibly 2nd with Dekalb a close 3rd. These two could be switched. York, along with Upperman could very well play a part in the selection of teams. Any of the five teams mentioned could win the region.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
