Everyone keep Rachel Garland her family and the MC community in your prayers she lost her father to cancer this morning.

We all have fun on these boards and sometimes we get offended, but this is what is up....Miss Garland has had a tough year dealing with this for sure....As it is well known that Stown has been playing for a fallen teammate all season, they realize that basketball is a sport that helps to build character and forge bonds for a lifetime...from a Stown fan to Miss Garland, a true winner in and off the court, my prayers are with you and your family....

Man this is sad news. Have known Miss Garland on the gym floor since she was 9 or 10 and you and your team are a classy bunch. My Lawrence County family sends you prayers and the hope that your family finds the strength and faith to deal with such an extreme loss.

All of us in 9A send our prayers out to Rachel and her family. That is two kids in our District who have lost a parent this year due to cancer. Other was Luke Primm from Community. Both of these young people did a great job in a tough time.
