You guys can keep kiding yourself if you want too, The day you played Mt Juliet it was their 3rd game of the day and Williams could barely get up and down the floor and Bob Jones has played a week schedule as well this year. Out of 36 games all you guys can say is we played Mt Juliet and Bob Jones, give me a break, when you start playing teams like middle Tn teams play maybe you can get past the 2nd round!! Clarksville by 20 PLUS! By the way until tomorrow the closest game you have had is to that Lawrence Co team that you were supposed to blow out!!!!!

I'm an objective observer, not a SH fan. Everyone knows that Middle TN has great basketball, but teams from the other parts of the state can play too. Regardless of who wins, I say both teams are great teams and there is no shame. Good luck Lady Toppers.

A great team will lose their first game of the year today. Who will it be? Clarksville has five Division 1 players. That in itself should make them the clear favorite to win this thing and anything less than a gold ball should be a disappointment. Science Hill has talent, but not to the level of Clarksville. The Lady Toppers played nearly a perfect game last year and upset a Clarksville team that looked very flat that day. My head tells me Clarksville will be more motivated this time and will win by about 14, but the Lady Toppers can pull off another win if they get some breaks and play their best game of the year. Go Toppers!

Maybe you should learn how to use correct grammar? You sound like you are in middle school getting on here running your mouth. Last time I checked, whoever plays the better game usually wins. Bob Jones has a "week," (in your words) schedule? Defeating a top ten school in Hoover doesn't sound very weak to me. Sure, I'll give Clarksville the obvious advantage in the game due to their five D1 players, but hard work beats talent when talent isn't working hard, true? We will see today. Go Toppers!

Congratulations to the Lady Toppers! David slays Goliath again! Congratulations to Clarksville on another outstanding season that came up just short. I thought Science Hill was done when arguably their best player Shy Copney went down with seven minutes left. They regrouped with tears in their eyes during a great timeout by Coach Barnwell and won the game for their fallen teammate. Tianna Tartar, Shea Smith, and Morgan Knack hit huge shots and just enough free throws to pull out the win. Knack's three for the lead on an inbounds play was a thing of beauty. I sincerely hope that Copney is not seriously injured, but it looked like a blown out knee and we may not see her play again until next year. Beating a great Riverdale team tomorrow without Shy will be a tall order, but anything is possible. Go Lady Toppers!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
