FatSak
This will be the longest, most dreadful football season at the nest in over a decade.....I'm being nice when,I say this-if the owls win more than one game, its a miracle.I wish the boys the best, but spring practice was PAINFUL!!!! Preacher210
It will be interesting to see what plays out with the proposed re-districting for the East Hamilton and Ooltewah area. As in, how quickly it will happen, and who ends up where.

silverspur
REZONING WILL NOT MATTER...ALL STARTS AT THE TOP. Why all the hate on Williams or any of the other coaches. Drew and Goose are gone. Cant you just be a good fan and support the team. Its not rocket science that the new school has taken many good athletes away. Drew and Goose, who cares?OK genius if you have 27 seniors(maybe more)almost all started year before, you have def.lineman of the year, def. player of the year, wide recvr of the year etc...qb passed for almost 2000 yds and so on,but you can't even win your district(finishing 3rd!!)so who is to blame?next year's team will have nothing for what ever reason(new school).I said it starts at the top and I stand by it.I'm not hating..but I could. silverspur
Owls finished 3rd in district due to many turnovers. The o line was avg. at best. It just appears someone is always to blame in all your posts. If you think last year was bad,you may not want to come to games this year. FatSak
Last year wasnt bad,it was beyond DISAPPOINTING! 2 years before was "our year"...but nothing.Owls have won alot of games in a decade, alot of schools would love to have won the amount of games ooltewah did.but we havent won the big one..its all disappointing.I'll give more cheers than jeers. sorry if i sound negative, but when you win alot, you want to go to the NEXT LEVEL. silverspur
I agree Owls have won alot of games over the last ten years. Clearly as a fan, I wish we had 2000 kids to choose from like the farraguts and dobyns bents of the world. To me 55 or 60 kids playing is a disadvantage. As I understand it Owls will be forced to move up to 6A after this year.thoughts?
Indian
Even after an enrollment drop their numbers weren't too far below the largest in their district. If they have roughly 700 males there should be plenty of large students and athletes to fill out a roster.
BEAST27
Like I've said before, Owls lost a lot of talent to East Hamilton. This year the Canes are projected to be state contenders and now the Owls will see just what an effect the new school has had on their talent pool. I wish them the best, but when they come to EH on 8/24, they will feel the pain.
