Why? Do you not think that the coaches for all these teams won't be calling as many coaches as they can to figure out who all the best hitters for each team is?

 

 

Honestly I think us fans probly put more thought into it to a point. I think when teams play each other that the coaches do mental and written notes. I know our coach uses a chart that is kept up with at each game. I'm sure FC's coach does the same. But yeah I think you hold your cards as much as possible.

The one that gets the most hits...no way anyone should give you that info at tournament time.

Each coach probably does their homework, so I don't think anyone will reveal anything that the coaches probably doesn't already know...

Riverdale had a great year hitting. Seniors stepped up. Finished 32-12. Won

first spring fling game in school history and went 2-2 in State Tournament.

 

Thomas Bradey, unsigned, .450 3 HRs 27 RBI .544 OBP .626 SLG 10 doubles, 2 triples

15 strikeouts in 167 plate appearances, 21 walks 24 stolen bases, caught 1 time

 

In the post-season, from district play through Spring Fling:

 

11 games: .485 (16-33) 1 HR 7 RBI .533 OBP .636 SLG 2 doubles

 

Bradey started the season on a 11 game hitting streak, .486 avg. Went 0-1 against Soddy-Daisy, went 6-7 next two games to start a 6 game streak, went 0-3 against Blackman, had a 5 game streak, went 0-2 against Lavergne, had another 6 game streak, went hitless (0-2, 0-3) against Oakland and Mt Juliet on senior night, and then in post-season had a hit in 10 of the 11 post-season games, going 0-2 against Columbia on Monday in region play, finishing the season on another six game hitting streak. He had a hit in 38 of 44 games. Pretty good senior year...

 

Jonathan King, Georgia Tech signee, .398 10 Hrs 34 RBI .535 OBP .759 SLG

16 doubles, 1 triple 36 walks, 12 intentionally, 17 strikeouts in 173 plate appearances

 

Ronnie Stephens, Columbia State signee, .388 7 HRs, 33 RBI .459 OBP .649 SLG

10 doubles, 2 triples, 30 stolen bases, caught twice.

 

Taylor Walker, a Jackson State signee, tied King for HRs with 10 and led team with 47 RBI while hitting .316 with a .596 SLG

 

Team finished year hitting .327 with 37 HRs and scored 309 runs in 44 games.
