The best freshman football team this year was SMYRNA, they were coached by the best coach around, who by the way should be the head coach at smyrna, and he should be the Baseball head coach too, he is the best ever!!!!

This is to Vanderbilt85. Since BA does not have a freshman team due to lack of players, BA has beat MBA the past three years in the 8th grade game so i dont get where u say the past three years that MBA has had the dominating freshman team when its the same players.

Although they are mostly the same players, a few new players do come in to the program.The biggest difference is just letting everyone get older and mature physically. Weight training is not really an issue in middle school wherein high school it makes a huge difference. Not to mention a difference in coaching. When i was at mba we tied BA in our 8th grade game. Then we won the metro frosh city championship dominating pretty easily however not getting a chance to play BA due to the fact that like you said BA does not have a frosh team. The next 5 times we played BA in high school we won all five including 2 state championships so obviously the same players some how got better.

P.S. The MBA frosh are always good due to their coaching. They are something like 22-1 under the current coach.

Don't get to see many jv or freshman teams, but Boyd -Buchanan had a great year. Being a 1A school and all they had to use a few Sophomores, but no Varsity starters. They beat East Ridge (4A) Ridgeland GA (4A) Baylor (DII) McCallie (DII) and David Brainerd (1A) to go undefeated. They also looked very good in scrimmage against Soddy-Daisy (4A) and Collinwood (1A). Congrats to the boys and the coaches!

On MBA's 9th grade team, only 4 players from the previous 8th grade team were starters. Most all of the players and back-ups were new 9th graders. That expalains the improvement from 8th to 9th grade.

Just curios. I hear all about this MBA team, not much about Hendersonville's team. The only thing I have heard is that both beat Riverdale, heard MBA was a blocked extra point, and that H'ville dominated after the first two Riverdale drives. Also heard that H'ville lost a game this year, how is that and to who. How would MBA and H'ville match up?

I believe that wilson centrals freshmen team beat riverdales freshman team and that it was not even really a game, riverdale got it handed to them

Wilson Central didnt play Riverdale. Also, Wilson Central and MBA were supposed to play, and Wilson Central canceled the day of the game...interesting.

the dca freshman team is decent. we had a hard time getting started due to little coaching because all the coaches were busy with the varsity. despite not having a kicker we decided that brad huggins should kick and he has done awesome. and daniel rouse is pretty good. now our greatest asset is ryan fields. this guy is awesome. it also helps having freshman on the sidelines cheering you on(mitch mobley)
