Pretty sure that Betty Lynn, who played Thelma Lou is still here, along with Jim Nabors (Gomer) and Elinor Donahue, (Ellie at the drug store). And Gomer would likely correct me, it is actually "Thelmer" Lou. I read where this show has been showing in syndication for 48 years. Average syndication life span for most shows is 10 years. One of a kind show for sure.

Betty Lynn is living at the age of 86. She retired to Mt.Airy NC, Andy's hometown and the place Mayberry was modeled after.
