as we use to say when we were strapping for players on my daughters select team....it only takes 11....though I know that is a lot to ask of 11 girls....it may not be the invaluable experience for those JV players that are most important to the system.......there could be more at stake.....never the less, I hope those girls heal quickly

I believe they already have 3 8th graders playing up on varsity as it is right now...

Well, Here we are with week 1 almost in the books and I was reminded several times last night that I have not posted Chatta-Boogie's top 10 soccer programs. Apparently we have alot of readers, but few posters LOL. So, with that in mind here we go...

1) Baylor, Till someone from the area beats them they will remain my #1.

2) GPS, They are big, strong, and skilled. Yes, they will miss Simone, but this year they reloaded and are not rebuilding.

3) Soddy Daisy, Attacking 3rd looks great. Defensive 3rd needs to gel.

4) Fighting Leprechauns, With all the ND posters, I'll let them tell you about their team.

5) CCS

6) McMinn Co., Still a little young, but has some really good up and coming talent.

7) Cleveland

8) Grace, can you say "Darkhorse"

9 & 10) McMinn Cental, Hixson, Bradley Co, E. Hamilton and Signal Mtn, These are 5 teams that I will be watching in the upcoming weeks. I know these teams have some star players, but I'm not sure what they have to go with them.

Sooo, there you go my Coacht Chatt-Boogie posters and readers. A quick reminder that the Baylor Tourney is this weekend with some of the best HS soccer programs from around the state.

Good Luck to All The Teams

Notre Dame will take on 2 of your top 10 this week, Cleveland on Tuesday and Soddy on Thursday....(Wish Notre Dame could have disproven your number one pick last week, but with Baylor cancelling on us...we may never know...

Many have ask, Why haven't you done a new Chatta-boogie top 10. Well, to be honest there hasn't been anything that has changed my original poll. YES...I am that good.

However, here's some games this week that might move the polls.

Sept 4,

Grace vs E. Hamilton

ND vs Cleveland

CCS vs McMinn Central

Sept 6,

CCS vs Signal Mtn

Cleveland vs Bradley

SD vs N.Dame

I guess Baylor will remain #1 until playoffs because they have decided to cancel all of their regular season games. They are hoping to make playoffs based on last year's success. They are banking on TSSAA using MVM's logic.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
