No shootout this week solly,Coach 'Worth has sold this team on defense.Hardin Co. has the potential to score quickly, and we're talking about teenage kids here so maybe they connect on a 'couple of long ones but this Tiger squad believes that the flaws of seasons past were on the defensive side of the ball more than the offense. One of the former coaches(from years ago),and a constant fan told me that this was the fastest and hardest hitting team ever in Lexington. If Hardin Co. keeps it respectable(doubtful), it'll be a low scoring game. Now that I've made a projection, which I almost never do they'll probably make me look even dumber than I am...just giving you a little info from the real insiders around the program, and what I've seen personaly.Glad to have "townies" like you that keep up with the Tigers from afar.I hope that what I can give you helps you feel connected, and happy trails!

That helps.

I usually get to see them play once a year, but it's just not going to happen this year unless it's very late in the season (hint hint). I had heard that about the speed, but that is the first I have heard that about the hitting. That borderline...............scary.

Thanks for the info.

The hitting is the thing that has everyone in the know grinning. The person whom I refrenced in the earlier post now has connections to Scotts Hills' program too,and is genuinely concerned for the safety of the kids at the 'Hill in the Lexington game.To elaborate further he said that the Tigers swarm to the ball 'till the whistle blows, that the first one there wraps up,and the rest run through the ballcarrier full speed.I've been a little skeptical the past 'couple of seasons about Lexingtons' chances against the eastern teams, and though I'm still not convinced that they are on par with the top two or three(G'ville,Giles,ect...) I am confident that they are a better team than in the recent past.I think(wink, wink) that maybe you'll get your chance to watch them play sometime!

May I have seconds, please? This is why I almost never make predictions concerning winners/losers of highschool games.I didn't attend, but listened on 93 with Carey Mallard and Tim Rogers(excellent commentators),and it seems everyone underestimated Hardin Co.Both thought Lexington should've won,and though they didn't say so,it seemed that Coach Hollingsworth made a 'couple of critical calls that cost Big Red some points. So much for coulda,woulda...HC is much better than given credit for,Lex. may have been looking forward to Liberty,or they might lose again if they play tomorrow night, but the Tigers are still a very good football team, who will be in the mix in the playoffs.A loss at this point last year might have taken them further in the post season,so if they learn from it(coach too),it cant hurt.Go Tigers!!!
