This one was just a case of two evenly matched where one wanted it much more that the other. Congrats to Hendersonville on the win.

Hendersonville made some big plays on offense and defense, so did R'dale. When 27 broke the long TD gallup I thought it was over, maybe Riverdale did too and relaxed. And after they took the chains out on R'dale's next to the last possession 4th down attempt... measured... and both teams started jumping up and down you knew it was close. The ref must have slid a credit card between the 1st down mark and the ball.

Glreat win for H'ville, but I have to ask, why didn't Riv keep after the passing game? It was almost like they were trying to prove something with the run game. Bad mistake.

Kudos to the concession workers/fans of the Warriors. Nice folks. Anybody recall leaving Ridgeway a couple of years ago? Grrr...

First things first, Congratulations Hendersonville.

Now as to 'why' the passing game was not continued. EGO, pure and simple. Coach will not pass as he is a run first, last and always wing-t fanatic. Add to this he thinks he can out think anyone else when it comes to the Wing-T. Unfortunately H'villes HC has his number when it comes to the Wing-T. You know sort of like the fact GQ has his number, PERIOD!

Another thing that does not help is he has too many on the line playing BOTH ways and we do not have the multiple lines we used to be known for. This translates in us not having a line that can cash the checks his ego is writing late in the game.

If you want to see the kind of football R'dale USED to be known for you must look across town at either Oakland or Siegel now.

Now that Riverdale has lost two, Will the head coach be fired at the end of the year?

No it will not happen this year. Next year when he does NOT have the QB he has now, and NO players prepared for the future is another thing though.

This team COULD make it to the playoffs and go deep. It just depends on the adjustments the HC is willing to make after he checks his ego at the locker room door.

Hopefully the wight room is still open and being USED!

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
