Byrd with over 150 and two scores, Benfield with 220 and a score.

 

Byrd now needs 138 yards to take the record for Most Rushing Yards by a QB in a season (1042 - Hess, FRA I believe in 1985), and HE MISSED TWO GAMES. Pretty impressive.

 

That is impressive, but uh, why such a close score? Did Hampton really play that well?

Nothing more than a hard fought football game with these boys being next door neighbors.A ton of pride both ways and Cloudland was able to hang on to the victory.Atough one to lose for Hampton but I believe it will make them stronger .GOOD LUCK

I didn't think that this game was very impressive. Hampton has improved considerably. CHS had better get in gear. They certainly haven't played like the #1 team the past two weeks. DEfense was pathatic. If they continue to play like this, the 'boro will only be a dream.

I am a Cloudland fan, but they need to get going fast or it could be a disappointing season if the defense don't play better then they did tonight it may be an early exit out of the playoffs.

If you don't get it in gear it will be a disappointing season. Let's see you are 8-0. You have totally dominated your opponents. What more do you want. I can remember back several years ago that your football program got its tail kicked almost every Friday night. God Cloudland was cupcake on our schedule. But now the Landers are the cream of the crop. You fans should be proud. You have a great coach and good kids. The community supports the program. Many people would love to have a team just half the team of yours. If Cloudland gets beat before the Boro it will be no disgrace. I think their football program is one of the best statewide. You are a smart guy with a good memory. People expect way to much. I can remember the time when everyone in Roan MT would have been tickled to death with a 10 point victory over Hampton. This program has grown with leaps and bounds.38 AND 1 in the last four years is pretty impressive in my book.We also play schools with a bigger enrollment than ours all ten games. We are spoiled. Give Hampton a little respect .They don't want to hear about how sorry we played. Maybe it was our opponent.

Cloudland had 518 yards rushing while Hampton had 126 passing and holding the leading rusher in the conference to 24 yards.I would'nt get to excited.GO LANDERS
