Who do you suggest I put on the ballot? I can recommend three backs in Class A. Negative comments do not work in this thread. This is the time to tell us who IS deserving, not who is not. This thread is for backs only.

TSSAA Press Release:

For the sixth consecutive year, the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards are being underwritten by a generous grant from the Tennessee Titans Foundation. The TSSAA is very appreciative of the generosity of team owner Bud Adams for his financial support of these awards and to the Titans organization for its wide-ranging support of student-athletes across our state.

Thirty-three finalists will again be honored at this year’s awards luncheon. This group is to include three finalists for Mr. Football Lineman of the Year and three finalists for Mr. Football Back of the Year in each classification (Class A, AA, and AAA in Division I and Class A and AA in Division II). There will be three finalists, regardless of classification, for the Mr. Football Kicker of the Year award. They are to be selected via a vote of football coaches and selected members of the media. The winners of the coveted award are to receive the distinguished Mr. Football trophy with the other finalists being presented plaques.

These outstanding individuals and their schools are to be recognized along with their parents and coaches at the prestigious Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Luncheon, scheduled Monday, November 26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Murfreesboro.

Each coach is asked to submit the name of up to three players in each classification for the Mr. Football Lineman of the Year Award and the Mr. Football Back of the Year Award. You are also asked to submit three players, regardless of classification, for the Mr. Football Kicker of the Year award. These votes are a nominating process only. A selection committee will meet to choose Mr. Football Lineman, Back, and Kicker of the Year. It is not necessary to vote for three players in each category, but that is your option. If you feel an individual player is one of the top three players in both categories, then you may list him in both. You may not vote for players on your own team!

In order to insure the integrity of the award, we need the vote of each high school head football coach in Tennessee, and that includes you. Please take some time, discuss this with your staff and return it to us immediately.

In order for your ballot to be counted, it must be received in our office via mail or fax (1-615-889-0544) no later than FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26. Please help honor Tennessee’s finest by responding today.

Don't see anyone winning except Corn but if indeed this thread is for backs only then i'd substitute D'montre Wade for jalen. Coach White raves about him. He has less opportunities because BA has so many playmakers.

Wade has 64 carries for 529 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and 10 TDs this year. Last season he ran for 1,510 yards on 183 carries (8.3 YPC) and 20 scores. Wade has carried the ball on 27.8% of BA's rushing attempts this year. Last year? 44.3%.

It's amazing what depth will do for a team. It's a shame for a guy like Wade, who certainly deserves all the credit he can get. But it's great for the Eagles, whose vast array of talent has made it tough on opponents.

indeed interesting Wes. Don't have the box score in front of me but I think 5-6 different guys scored for BA he other nite. Been that way all yr. Don't want to venture any further though on this topic as CoachT is just asking for opinions on candidates. From BA, D'Wade is a good one and of course so is jalen

Nine different players scored BA's nine touchdowns against JPII. Five players scored BA's six touchdowns against BGA.

CoachT, you may want to take this into account when you weigh BA players' worthiness for Mr. Football.
