I'm so glad people are counting Btw out you got to be crazy we returning 2 starter from last year team. And by the way we lost ten grader to Mitchell but gain a real junk yard dog in Altante from Westwood we should have the best back court in the state. We returning our 6'5 post player and we have 6'6 post player ten grade 245 pound. And a great bench!

The tenth grader left because his dad wanted him to play in tougher league. But remember mitchell will be single A next year. And how could a dad wont his kid to play for another coach after his grandfather Coach Horton of Btw coach him. I heard they play each other next week in scrimmage don't know the date but I heard at Btw.

Egad - how do you people and TSSAA keep up with eligibility down there....lose one to Mitchell, gain one from Westwood.....sure there was a legitimate change of address rolleyes.gif

Actually the kid was suppose to be at btw but they move to Westwood area which is legal now the kid move back to btw area and make him legal again yes wit legit address. And for Westwood they lost both big men to prep school in Atlanta. I don't think they will win 10 games this year. I promise you Btw is favorite again to win state!

Well, you've got to look at CSAS as well. Two years ago, they lost All-State guards Alex Stallion and Sharif Cobb. Last year, they made it to Sub State and lost to Frienship Christian, only losing talented seniors. They were remodling and have some good senior guards this year having starters Patrick Taylor and Chaison Gordon returning for the upcoming season. Look for CSAS to be in the top half of Class A and back to their dominating years in the District and Region.

Also, Lake County plays pretty good D... they seemed to struggle from a coaching stand point... Who goes with a two guard offensive (lake county...?) front against a 2 guard front D (Perry County)...

That may be the dumbest post I've seen on these boards lol. Coach Barger has two years as a head basketball coach and has a state championship gold ball and advanced to the second round last year. Would imagine she has the best winning percentage in class a for her career. I've seen us get beat, and beat ourselves occasionally but have yet to see her get out coached. Perry county was the result of an ot win that was our state championship effort against who many in the state felt was the best team in BTW. We simply had nothing left and fell flat.

Well I have seen them play 5 times in the past two years so, and no they were not all at the Murphy Center (Murfresboro, Jackson SS, Hickman Co, etc)...

Show me what she does this year... with a team that is not loaded for Class A... Boyd, #3, Swift, #22, #21, etc...

Time will tell my good man... She has won on a big level, but has done so with superior talent... You can take half of the Class A coachs, put them in charge of Lake county's past two year teams and they will produce similar results...

But like I said, wait and see...

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
