HTV
just like old times... Yep. Powell and Maryville always drew a ton of fans and were a good rivalry, although Maryville dominated the series as they do with just about everybody. Looking forward to seeing these two teams line up again at some point, although it will have to be in the playoffs as it looks like the two teams will remain in separate districts. Powell now having a Maryville grad, and a guy who played for Coach Quarles, as its head coach certainly would add a little something extra to the game. daisyfairmount
with the economy like it is and your complaining about jobs and a great growth to your area. you should want to be in 6a and compete against the best. just look what nissan brought to rutherford county. 7 class 6a schools. cleveland only has one right now. in 20 years you will turn around and there will be 2 or 3 more 6a schools schools in your area. It's just crazy how fast we are growing.

Sorry but 6A is not the best every year.... Look at Alcoa they have beaten the best alot and they are 3A.... They should do a playoff and the state champs in 3A 4A play each other and the 5A and 6A play each other then the winners play to see what class is the best each year that would be fun.... Teddybear
Middle TN should stay about the same with the exception to Stewarts Creek being added to the Boro district and Summit being added to the Wilco district. I would like to see FCS and Goodpasture added to metro district.
knoxvillemike
In districts 1-4, Sullivan South and Catholic are moving down and Gibbs is moving up. That leaves 32 teams to split among the four districts so they should be balanced with 8 schools in each one. Cherokee will move to district 1 to replace S. South. Gibbs will join district 2. One of the schools in district 3 will be moved to district 4. The traditional dividing line between these two districts has been I-40. Over the years the TSSAA has gone across the interstate to pull a school one way or another to balance the numbers in the two districts. Catholic was the latest example. Geographically speaking, Hardin Valley is the closest to I-40, so I would expect them to move to district 4.
