Goodpasture @ CPA

The QB must be very good if you feel he will score enough points to compete. Does he have a better upside than the Reynolds kid who played last year?

As the last couple poster said, the Reynolds kid was something special. If I remember correctly Renyolds also started as a freshman and was running the show before we knew it. Reynolds was a dual threat QB and would take off if he saw nobody open. He kept the defenses on their feet. Only time will tell what Law's strengths & weakness are but I couldn't be happier with what I have already see from him. He would probably tell you he has some big shoes to fill and I believe he can do it!

I remember when CPA's current QB, Albert Mitchell, started for CPA in 2010 against Goodpasture in the playoffs due to an injury to Connor Lowery who was an All Star that year. Goodpasture kinda ate him up and spit him out. It gave him a lot of experience though.

Keenan Reynolds is one of the top freshmen stories in the nation. Navy is on a roll right now and they're going to be hard to beat down the stretch. Their wins over Air Force and Indiana were both classics.

Now back to the high school game lol........I think CPA is better this season but I also expect Goodpasture to play them tough!

Connor graduated before 2010. I think it was Nolan Genovise who was injured. It happened during the final game of the season against Pearl Cohn.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
