How can you sit there and make excuses for a 41-6 loss? It took a fluke sack/fumble for y'all to even score, and then you couldn't even convert the PAT. Brentwood flat out wiped the field with Gallatin, no ifs ands or buts about it.

Back on topic... I can't wait for this one tonight. Both teams are very talented, but I think Brentwood's defense is just too good for MJ to have a shot. Their defense is really, really good.

I watched the BHS vs Blackman game and i feel that Blackmans offense didn't have the power or speed that you will be facing tonight.

With that being said, I do think that the bears offense is going to be tougher for BHS than the other teams that they have faced. Good luck to your Bruins.

Hold now I never made excuses for what Brentwood did to Gallatin. I simply explained that Gallatin played very well in the first half on defense. Gallatin had very very little yards on the offensive side of the ball in either half. You were reading into something that wasn't there. If Gallatin would have had their most explosive player on offense playing and their starting Qb playing, Brentwood would have still won but it might have been a little closer due to the bad play of the Brentwood offense or the good play of the Gallatin defense in the 1st half. Your Qb got sacked 4 or 5 times which did not happen to another team all year in a complete game for Gallatin. Finally, your coach stuck to the ground game and ya'll pulled it out. I mean playing your starters until late in the 4th quarter to run up the score when Gallatin could not muster any offense throughout the entire game...hey classy move on your part. Gallatin was dead awful this past year no doubt but the mighty Bruins did not look so mighty in that first half against the worst Gallatin team in 40 years. Personally I hope you get the pants beat off of you. But you are correct, playing on homecoming and the fans coming late and not supporting your team is not good. I do commend you on not being one of those.

Centennial is the only team this year that had a good offensive game against Brentwood, and they did it purely through the air. MJ is not an air-it-out offense obviously, so I am pretty confident that Brentwood's D can stop them.

I agree BHS d is that good- will be fun to watch then play a very good offensive MJ team

In the end give edge to BHS !

    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
