Why did Coach Montgomery leave Central??? Don't think Seq. Co. can go there!!! Better make the right hire because this group coming in will be a great wave of talent!!!

 

Middle School coach deserves a shot toooooooo!!

 

Coach White is a great guy but isn't a great coach. The middle school group he has had was made by the coaches in the Little League program.

I was asking if montgomery or jones left their previous hc jobs voluntarily or were they shown the door? Edited by jackbacker2

Will are you serious about this statement? All I can say is Wow. Coach White has done a great job with those kids. I'm very offended and shocked you made this statement. You know who I am.

Sam left Chatt Central on his own. He was not fired or shown the door. Super nice guy and actually hired a good staff of assisstants. Having said that..he was very unorganized and just didn't seem to have his ducks in a row to be the head coach. Not wantng to speak out of line but he had personal issues that he was going thru and that didn't help his situation much. Thus, he resigned.

      If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.

      You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
