Liberty beats southside tonight by 6 .. is southside really as good as ppl say or does liberty reloads yr after yr! i say loaded Malik Hicks from SS is the real deal as a 10th grader... dunks and scores easily..bu besides him southside isnt very good against a good team..name to remember Kendall Walker from Liberty the kid is good he hit a spin move layup that had the whole gym in stock to go along w/abt 25 points

too much hype on SS ..coaching may be their downfall ??..SS barely escaped Arlington Monday nite at Dyersburg after blowing 7-8 foes out..team attitude adjustment needed ?? many ?? concerning the Hawks

Southside is absolutely loaded across the board as far as talent. They have 4 kids who will go D1 at some level with Merriwether, Barford, Hicks and McNeal. Last night they played scared to death, and seemed very poorly coached. Daniel Hill is a heck of a competitor and was by far the best player on the floor last night. He handled the ball and his emotions well all night. Kendall Walker is a great compliment to Hill. South Side needs some major adjustments because they can not win on talent alone, and last night proved hard work beats talent, when talent does not work hard.

Seems like a replay of the topic from last season about BTW on the 1A boards,talent enough to win it all but suspect coaching in close games...we all know how that turned out.

Liberty's coach , Terrell Green has done a great job coaching/assisting and making his players play hard with the talent that Liberty has had. He has 5 state apperances , 3 gold balls ,1 silver ball and a semi.andd liberty has only been around for 10yrs

Don't know why you guys are treating this as an upset. Liberty went to the quarterfinals of State last year, and you think they are about a .500 team, No. Yes this is a rivalry game, and yes Liberty beat South Side, but its December, wait til February to decide whose better.

to say hicks is the only player ss has is crazy!!!!!! Barford may be ss best player

 

SS could not buy a bucket from outside vs liberty if they where hitting there shots from outside they would have won by 10 are so but they didnt congrats to liberty for making ss pay cant wait to see round 2

JSS finally beat Liberty Tech last night 72-71. Congrats to the Hawks! The Crusaders had previously owned this series until last night.
