No the real question is what would have MP have done...... lets see last year, during spring break , no classes, practice twice a day. This year take the week off ........ last year take infield prior to the game, drag the field again, then play this year, no infield prior to the game, lets just warm up and play the game.

Sounds like JC is a little too laid back for the AAA level. Good thing Mel hired his good buddy's son. No practice during spring break at MJ? That program has been a juggernaut for a reason, and one of those is work ethic.

 

Disappointing I'm sure. Those kids probably didn't know what to do with a week off.

 

Note to JC......This isn't DII-A. I'm sure he has it under control.

Lost to MJ tonight 11-0 on 7 errors. 3 earned runs. Great pitching by MJ only gave up 2 hits. We must do better on D. Nice facility and good atmosphere to play ball.

I was there tonight, I thought Portland looked a little young, but their second pitcher was pretty good, had a nice slider.

LOL yea we are young. Tonight we started a senior catcher, senior cf, senior Lf, soph pit, soph 1b, fresh 2b, jr ss, jr 3b, and our lead off is a fresh dh. The second pitcher is normally our 1b and he did throw well, If anything good came of the night it was seeing him throw. We only have 4 seniors, and 2 jrs. The rest of the varsity is all soph and 2 fresh. The errors have killed us. After the first inning we only gave up 2 runs and they werent earned either lol. These poor high school coaches I feel for them. lol Glad I just sit on my bucket, take photos and do the stats, lol.

Portland over Lebanon tonight 9-5 in 9 innings, Again errors cost us runs, tonight we held a 4-2 lead till late and errors cost us runs, in fact all 5 runs Lebanon scored were unearned. If we can ever get this ground ball bouncing our way we should be fine. lol. Good luck to all the Sumner teams this week, whoop whoop...and congrats to our JV team winning their first game over Leb as well.

Connor Harris went 6 innings. Lebanon now 2-2 in district play. Much improved from last year.

 

Hendersonville has some really good young players. The first basemen can absolutely rake. What year is he? #15?
