I have no allegiance to any team. I'm just an old fart who enjoys watching high school football. I do think Indy wins 11AAA and I wouldn't be surprised if Franklin finished pretty high in the standings. The rebels were really young last year

 

Indy killed us last year and coach rector wont let that happen again. Franklin got worse as the year went on so how they going to be better this year is a joke. Highlife do you know how many seniors we lost last year? Not many old fart.

I know all of your best players were mostly seniors. Tomlin/Lee/Fleming/ the TE/ and #8 were your best players for a reason. How do you replace all of that talent? And come out better.. That's really what I'm asking.. You have only listed 2 guys who are going to take their spots.

I guess you can have your opinion. IMO we will be better this year. Hard work and better coaching is the reason.

CHS will not have such a hard time replacing the players above. Lee was out half the season. The problem they have is the line. # 8 is back so is the other (wr), Sanders can throw and run as he did last year. TD will be fine. The line is where games are won and lost.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
