Lipscomb Academy 2013

Lipscomb is now the lone "non-Metro" school in 10-AA. They'll play Pearl-Cohn, Whites Creek, Stratford, East Nashville, and Maplewood in the district. Out of the district they'll retain their series with Goodpasture for sure. I also know that they will play Sycamore. I don't know who else they play but in those 7 games I do know that they'll be competitive and have a chance to win in all of them. I would love to see the Mustangs make one last push at a state championship before Coach Mac rides off into the sunset.

His horse might get pushed early. The name is not the only thing that has changed at Lipscomb. The college president tried to shut down the "academy" all together but the board would not have it. So now he is trying to push the lower school down the road towards the athletic area so he can use the space for his "vision" for the university. Tuition has gone up close to 50% in the last few years. They are losing some of the type kids they used to get to lower tuition options.

Best thing that could happen at Lipscomb is the college president would disappear.

Wow I did not know that this was the case. Where do those kids go now that they cannot afford to attend Lipscomb? I hate that for Coach Mac. A great football coach and an even better role model for young men to look up to as they grow through his football program.

I'm not sure if they will continue the series with CPA, but it was developing into a good series.I will miss these games if they discontinue playing. I think LA has solid group of seniors coming up so I see an improvement over 2012. Good luck to LA in 2013.

    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
