From my understanding Cyree was not allowed to be considered at 106lbs since he has only wrestled 113lbs all season, which sounds fair. He was moved to the 113lbs class and Im assuming it was a tie between Garang Madut of Glencliff and Cyree which prompted a coaches vote between Murfreesboro and Nashville coaches. Other members that I have seen posted: John Kramer,Elan Mccasland, Austin Richard, Tyler Sells, Scottie Boykin, Tyler Crane, and Bruno Ricardo Reagan

Texas 23 is correct . the wrestlers who make the lists are voted on by the coaches in attendance. there were only around a dozen or so coaches in attendance. The simple fact is that as a Coach if you have a kid who you think deserves a shot you need to be there. As a Coach we know of some of the kids that are good and should be considered but if the coach is not there then there is no information like season record , common opponents, head to head , etc then its hard to put kids up for spots. I do know that PA Bowler sent out an email about the meeting and then another one as a reminder just days before.

Same Richards that finished 3rd at the Ryan Tournament?

Yes Austin got 3rd at Ryan. Austins loss was also a match he shoud have won. I believe he was leading by 9 or 10 points when he made a mistake and the Hendersonville kid capitalized. Richard wins the rematch 10/10 times. He is the best 138 in the mid state and will make his case to be the best 138 in the state in a couple weeks

Dca44,

That's a bold statement... You may be right, however, it looks like two very good D2 wrestlers should also be considered as the best in the state... Pierce Olson, and Ryan Simpson. In fact, Simpson won the Ryan Invitational, and Olson was second in a close match to Marchetti at 145... Barrel

I was thinking the exact same thing...Pierce gets my vote. But like Coach K said, if there wasn't anybody from the school represented he didn't get the vote.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
